  1. Hi magoosmom, I had my surgery 9 days ago. I had been overweight most of my life starting right after school thinking I can always loose later. Since this was my first surgery I was scared beyond belief but after having a stent in October I knew I need to do something. Right now, I would not change a thing, I've lost 20lbs since and the pain is seamless knowing my life is going to get better. I'm still in phase 1 and I have no desire to eat like I did. I know there will be times, but I am so close to next size down in clothes, I'm excited. Prior to the operation, I took 3 types of medicine for diabetes. Since the operation, I have taken two shots of insulin and the other meds have been discontinued. I am rooting for you and I support your efforts as I was also supported. You can do this and know your troubles out of the park! Lonnie Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Doing well Heather thank you. One more week on the liquid phase to go. Yes, I also need to prepare for more of the mental changes coming my way. The hardest piece I have dealt with is drinking enough as I really haven't felt like it so far. It is hot here in PA and with exercising the need to drink is crucial. Hopefully you are having a good day and while I don't really know your whole journey, I'm proud to took the steps to be a healthier you. I've noticed in my journey support and friendship goes a long way. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Hi Heather, hope all went well. I went thru my surgery on June 8th. All went well and even though I am still in phase one as you are I know this was the right choice. Hopefully all went well with you and that you make this journey a success! Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
