  3. hi, i'm a newbie. i was banded monday 10-27 in boston. i saw my dr yesterday because my port site was hot and red. as suspected it was infected . (i saw a photo of an infected port on this site which is what convinced me to call my dr) today it looks much better after only 3 doses of antibiotics. i have to admit i am hungry but very happy to have the surgery behind me. thanks, tri
