  2. First time I've owned a scale. Won't have much to compare it to until the doc office on 7/5. But if I calibrated it correctly I am down to 227.4. 2.1 pounds in seven days. I'll take it. I can't lose five pounds a week forever. But I can wish. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Weighing in today at 227.4 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. I have yet to hear any good reviews about Protein waters; too sweet! I'd rather do regular Water with flavor packets and get protein from my shakes and food. I am not pushing protein since I have until 6 months to work my way to it per my doc. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. How are you doing? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. At the swimming beach today with the kids. My last years suit is too big on top. It's a halter so I made it work. Feeling free as I could give a rip how I look because I feel so good about myself these days. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. Sounds like you are doing well. Glad to hear it! Keep the spirits up and the weight down! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  10. I can't wait to start that phase! My Nutritionist begged me not to eat baby food She said please cook and purée it lol. I hadn't planned to eat baby food anyway. Only like their bananas RealityKrys VSG 6/17/2016 I haven't gotten to that yet since I really only plan on eating fruit with Breakfast. Mashed avocado and hummus for veggies. Mmmmm Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. Add a few mint leaves in there too! Delish! RealityKrys VSG 6/17/2016 Have a really hard time with mint. Or I used to. Green gum and the like make me nauseated. may try when I'm more seasoned. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. Had my first food today. Pretty uneventful. Fine by me if food no longer gets me excited. I ate about 2/3 of a T and that's all I could handle. Will see what lunch has in store for me. Kind of already over it and it's only begun. Not in a bad way but more meh.... HW 10.30.15 - 281.5 SW 6.1.16 - 245.7 CW 229.6 Age 38, Height 5' 8.5"

  15. What a bummer. I am sorry to hear this. At least you got some warning. Take some time to process and get mad. Then.... You get up and face it. You've come this far and have been faced with a challenge. Look at it as preparing for your new life. And you will lose even more weight before surgery which is a bonus. Good luck to you! HW 10.30.15 - 281.5 SW 6.1.16 - 245.7 CW 229.6 Age 38, Height 5' 8.5"
  16. In a way I kind of wished for a hernia and gull bladder removal during surgery. Get all done in one shot. No suck luck. Other than my weight and some body aches because of my weight I am healthy. Best of luck. Take it slow the first few days. Hopefully you bounce back quickly. Sent from my iPhone
  17. I start purées on Wednesday. Can't wait! Lol. It'll feel nice to set up meal times and not just drink. Sent from my iPhone
  18. Leftover meatballs from dinner. Some for hubby's lunch tomorrow and purred the rest for me. Ps, I'm almost 39 years old. I think age also makes a difference in our results. Sent from my iPhone
  19. Hi Erin. Welcome! You are on your way to great things. I know the feeling of wanting to get to surgery already. I did great in the months leading up to surgery and was even an excited ball of energy until they wheeled me into the OR. Everything went fine and then I woke up. That was a weird experience. My first. But I got over it pretty quick. I'm a couple weeks out and I keep losing weight. I am feeling as good as someone on a full liquid diet can feel. After week one I felt back to normal. Read my journey. I have a feeling we will have a lot to share. So glad you're here. Midwest is the best.(MN) Sent from my iPhone
  20. This is the place! Sounds like you are off to a great start! You might want to find someone in your circle that you can talk to In person. It helps even more! Good luck with surgery! Sent from my iPhone
  21. Great job yourself. And yes, we need to hold each other up in every way, not tear each other down. It's probably sort of the reason we got here in the first place. I am excited to see my progress continue. I feel great!!!! Sent from my iPhone
  22. Sooooo looking forward to puree stage on Wednesday. Never have I been so pumped to eat mushy baby food! Sent from my iPhone
  23. So I weighed myself again yesterday. Here are my stats. I'm 5' 8.5". SW 10/30/15 281.5. SD 6/1/16 245.7. CW 229.6. I'm super pumped that the scale keeps going down. I know one day it will not. But with the scale decline I am noticing little changes in my body. My rib cage appears noticeably smaller. My largest size bra which has always been a bit big no longer can perform. Time to retire. My pants are FINALLY fitting loosely around my lower bump and hips. This. Is. Progress. Sent from my iPhone
  24. Having a hard time throwing food away. I'm fine not eating it. But when I can't get anyone else to cleanup the leftovers I struggle with throwing it away. It's not 'bad' food either. It's just there is more than a tbsp left that I can freeze for me later when I actually get to chew something. The old me would have cleaned it up for lunches over the next day or so. But, moving on. I have to. It's not about food. It's about life! I'll just have to start making smaller portions for my family. I can do this! Sent from my iPhone
