  2. Prep now! Make sure you have not only foods/liquids for you but quick foods on hand for your kids. You won't feel like cooking big meals the first few days after surgery. Anything that can be popped in the oven or microwave is a winner! My doctor stated no lifting of more than 10 pounds for 3 weeks, I know this is hard but it's for your well being. Take advantage of your husband and mom helping out. I'm 5 days post-op and each day gets easier. I only feel pain at the incision site where my stomach was removed and was able to make supper for my daughters and do some light duty cleaning yesterday. Go at your own pace and listen to your body. Hope this helps! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  4. Good morning all you beautiful sleevers, Today is finally the day I have my surgery. It goes without saying that I am both nervous and excited at the same time!!! This is the day that will change my life forever. I am blessed that I have been given this opportunity and have a wonderful family support system. I wish everyone who is either considering or has done the surgery the very best!! My surgery is scheduled to take place at 7:30 this morning, although we have to be at the hospital at 5:30. (So I have roughly 2 hours to fiddle my thumbs and psych myself out prior to surgery, lol). I hope to be able to keep everyone posted as this begins my journey to a healthier new me. Wish me luck!! 13. I have read that it is best to have a pillow for the ride home after surgery. My husband wanted to get me the pillow below.. Does anyone have one of these? If so, is it pretty soft and could I use it after surgery? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
