Protein shakes
I can't stand them, so I use a powder to make Protein balls and then eat the rest of my protein to make my goal for the day. It is doable without over eating, but not many people do it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

TMI post, ladies this post is mostly directed for us!
Try taking a probiotic everyday, I found this helped with prevention though rather than to treat it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

2 weeks post op
I find that a combination of exercise and the right foods help. But have you taken measurements, cause every time I get annoyed with the scales I take measurements and try on clothes that haven't fit me in a while and they either fit or are too big. So that helps me feel better when the scales aren't cooperating lol. I also find that I physically feel better when I exercise, even if it's just a walk, but I didn't start any kind of exercise till 2.5 weeks post op. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

2 weeks post op
Yes, mine slowed down considerably, to about 2 lbs a week. Which is still awesome, just hard to adjust you when you get used to 2 lbs a day. But that being said I'm now 7 weeks out and have lost 5 lbs in 2 days. So I think it takes a while for your body to adjust to real food again. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

How long does it take to stop hurting?
It took 2 weeks till I was completely pain free. The second week was way more bearable than the first. Maybe you need some better pain drugs to get you through?? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

It should, mine still shows it. But it doesn't record your food and show the pop up unless, as a female you eat 1000 calories or more a day. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Biggest NSV Thus far [emoji4]
I've had little NSVs, like fitting into my jeans again. But today I tried on an outfit that hasn't fit me in four years and I look better in it now than I did then I'm so glad I tried it on today as my weight loss had really slowed down, which I know is normal, but still made me a little sad. My gastric sleeve journal
The bowels get better when you move to real food, well mine did. But I use ducolax when they weren't as it stimulates your intestines rather than being a straight up laxative and it's a liquid. You're doing really well, keep it up ???? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Okay ladies, I'm just over 5 weeks post op gastric sleeve, including my pre op diet I've lost 20kgs or 44lbs. However I've noticed that every time I get my period my weight loss stalls for the whole 6 days. I'm not super worried about it but just wanted to see if this happens to anyone else?? What did I sign up for?
I use Ducolax, it stimulates peristalsis (which is your intestines contracted to move stuff from your stomach to the other end) it's awesome and a liquid and doesn't taste that bad Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Tomorrow is the day - June 7 2016
I'm good, still like you in a bit of pain but it's manageable. I stopped taking my pain drugs a couple of days ago. Only managing 30grms of Protein a day but doing really well with Water. Think I need to start doing some walking now that the pain's okay. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
