  13. One week post op having lap band removed. Now need to loose 15-20lbs then back in for bypass. Laproscopically procedures are So nice. First day is the worst day and that is not even so bad, I went home same day.Now with longer surg.( bypass) I dunno how much worse, I imagine it won't be as easy as band was but, way way easier than an open procedure. I think you will be pleasantly surprised and weight starts to fall off, that really makes any residual pain fly away. You will do soo great so smile and get excited life is gonna get so much better!!!!
  14. I hear ya. I'm in process. Band is out now must loose 20 before dr can go back in for bypass. I was eating fast and to much for a bit. Had to get a grip. Is dumping syndrome feel as bad as they say? I'm terrified of that... Lisa
  15. Well, I would love to have a specific day, I am converting from lap band to bypass. Did the pre op 3 days went fine however, when it came to laparoscopicly taking out the band all went well unfortunately, Dr said I was so small and tight, he could not do the bypass laproscopically. So he removed the band woke me up and he told me I will need to loose at least 15 or 20 lbs being ideal before he can go back in and try laproscopically approach again. What a huge bummer at first, but I am 5 days into a 700 cal liquid diet and more motivated! Glass half full.... Literally. 20 is a big number for me at 53 and in menopause. Just really want to avoid the big incision bad pain and more scarring. I am a new member and believe strongly in the power of positive thought. If you guys could think or give me some + feedback I would appreciate it so much. Wishing I could lose 20 lbs in 3 weeks but, seems tough, has anyone done it? Sorry post so long... Lisa
