  1. Hi everyone, I am having RNY next Thursday and my husband has to go out of town for work the following Monday. Will I be OK taking care of myself at this point? What should I be worried about? Complications? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using the BariatricPal App
  2. Thanks for mentioning Baritastic! Cool app. Love how you can easily keep track of progress pictures. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using the BariatricPal App
  3. Hi there! I recently had an internal struggle over how/what to tell my 8 yr old son. I think it's important to be honest and open with family and close friends. I know not everybody you tell might agree with what you're doing, but you are giving them an opportunity to support you through this process. People have been positive because they know it's something I've been considering for a long time (and I want to improve my quality if life). I think being open encourages people to ask questions so that they might better understand your choice. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using the BariatricPal App

  6. Hi there, I have an 8 year old son who is well aware that I struggle with my weight. I am scheduled for gastric bypass on June 9th and am not sure what/how much to tell him about the procedure. I don't want to tell him what the surgery is for because I don't want him to bring it up at school, but I'll be losing weight rapidly, so he'll know something's up. Any suggestions would be great!
