My pants size is 22 or 3xl but the seats on most of the major airlines are 17 inches across and I'm more than that sitting down. I'm just worried about missing flights. Did you feel comfortable when you traveled?

Did anyone fly to the airport and had to pay for two tickets? I live in CA but 8 hours away but I haven't been on a plane since I was smaller and I'm not sure what it's like out there.

I have a hmo. Also it's the authorization for the consult that I need. It's just weird because my pcp said nothing about 6 month diet and said I don't need to come in to weigh with her. H*m*o

I have Blue Shieldnof CA and was denied authorization for bariatric consult because I don't have "documentation of a 6 month diet" Neither my PCP or my medical group or insurance company is being much help. I'm not sure if this means I have to do a physician supervised diet where I weigh in at my pcp for the next 6 months or if it's a diet I can do on my own. The surgeon program I want to go with had me weigh in at the info session and nutrition session and I have 4 more weigh ins with them before I proceed with their program. My pcp says I don't have to weigh in with her and those weigh ins count but I don't see how that satisfies a 6 month diet if its just weigh ins. Does anyone have experience with this?

Did either of you have Blue Shield? Anyway I have been to the information session and nutrition session, wondering how I go see the nutritionist and get all the labs and sleep study done. I asked my doctor for a referral but she said I need to do all that stuff first and didn't tell me how lol

Hi there, I have Blue Shield insurance but my group is Hill Physicians. I have called the major hospitals here that do bariatric surgery and they all take Blue Shield, but not the group. I'm so frustrated and stuck. Can anyone help?
