  1. I had my sleeve surgery last July in Mexico. I'm almost at my one year mark and am hoping to be under 170. I've lost 60 pounds, abit dissapointed. But I have a huge Secret and I thought I would join a support group. I have kept my surgery a secret from EVERYONE, my husband, mom, sister, best friend do not know. I was able to fly to Mexico when my family were at the cottage, I told them I had to work. During that time I did it all alone and not telling anyone. It's hard to keep such a big secret about a major surgery. But I can't ever tell tell them. I'm hoping to get support. This is the first time I am reaching out.

my one big big secret is I've done this all alone. Nobody knows, I mean nobody, not my husband, sister, anyone. You may be asking how did I do it. I told my family I could not come up to our cottage for a week. I booked the flight to Mexico and it all got done in a week. I can't tell my husband as he would divorce me. So this is the first time telling this story, hoping to get support from other sleepers.

What was your start weight and what are you at now? How do you eat if no one knows you had surgery?

Hi We went to Juarez Mexico for my hubby's Sleeve. Where did you have your done? Don't beat yourself up over your weight loss. Keep doing what you have been told and it will happen for you. Follow your guidelines if you got any. My hubby had no discharge info from the hospital at all. He had orginally went down for the RNY but due to past complications with his other WLS (the band) his side was solid scar tissue so they did the Sleeve. When I ask the corrnator from info about the Sleeve she told me it was the same as the RNY. Which I had the RNY in July of 2013 so I knew it was different. As you can tell we were not impressed by the Coordnator thru BELITE WEIGHT Loss. Or our trip either. KEEP ON KEEPING ON!! You've got this!!

Sherri, the postop instructions are the same with both surgeries, that's probably what she meant.

Kimberley, wow, what a tough place to be in :( do you think your unsatisfactory weight loss is due to having to hide the procedure? (Maybe you feel pressured to eat like everyone else?)
