  1. Hi! I am from Lehigh Valley, PA. 37/F Do you have a surgery date yet? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  2. I drink Protein Shakes everyday now, and have for the past two years so I am hoping my love for them does not change post op. I am scheduled for surgery 10/10/16. I feel the same as you about the scale. I have been ruled by it my entire adult life. Once I have surgery, I am going to give to my sister so it is out of my place. I belong to a group on FB and so many people are obsessed with the scale. The minute they don't see it move they talk about how much they regret their sleeve. I actuLly feel bad that they are so focuses on that number. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  3. Welcome! How are you feeling being a week out? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  4. Hi!! I'm from the Lehigh valley too !! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Who is your surgeon? I went through LVHN Weight Management and have chosen Dr. Bourse to do my sleeve. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  5. I think you made a good choice! Don't do anything you are not emotionally, mentally, and physically ready for. I am also 265, but my BMI is 50. I thought I wanted Gastric Bypass about 10 years ago, but it didn't work out with insurance and I felt as though I just needed to give it go on my own as well. Now here we are ten years later and I still haven't been able to keep the weight off. Plus with gastric sleeve being less invasive and having less complications, i felt as though now was my time. I wish you well on your weight loss journey! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  8. Who did your surgery? I just had my consult with Dr. Boorse last week. We decided to hold off my surgery until I get back from vacation. My surgery is tentatively scheduled for Nov. 16 Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  9. I am currently in a 3-month weight management pre-op program at LVHN. Your insurance will determine how long your pre-op program is. If your insurance does not require one, I believe LVHN still has you do the three month program. I think it is quite beneficial. I am building relationships with professionals who will help me whether I am 6 dats post-op or 6 years. Also, they want to make sure they are sending mentally healthy, prepared, willing candidates into surgery. I am very happy with their program. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
