    11 years ago I had lap band surgery and was breastfeeding my 9 month old son at the time. I pumped and dumped while I was on medication and when it was safe to resume breastfeeding, we just went right back to where we left off, and I nursed him for about year after. He was 9 months old though, and was eating and drinking other foods at the time. So as far as being able to exclusively feed your baby breast milk....I guess you will just have to see how it goes. It sounds like he can at least take a bottle to supplement if needed. My 9 month old baby is now almost 12 years old and is a big strong boy! I'll be having a band revision on the 20th!!
