  1. uhhhh......I think I am running on half a brain.......my surgery date was actually the 8th of April. Sorry about that :tongue_smilie:
  2. Gina, Would you mind adding me to your spreadsheet? My surgery was April 7th and my start weight was 298. What a great idea! Thanks :tongue_smilie: Brandy
  3. I don't know anything about your doctor in particular, but I work for a hospital where Lap Band is performed and they require any estimated patient portions up front. I would think that most places would since it is an elective procedure but if you are lucky maybe they will set up a payment plan for you. I have also heard of a pretty neat program called "Care Credit" It is like a credit card just for medical purposes and I think that it is no interest for a period of time. I don't really know too much about this either but I'm sure you could find it online if was something that interested you. GOOD LUCK!!
  4. My name is Brandy, I live in Ft Wayne, IN......I work in the admissions dept at a local hospital, I have been married for almost 6 years to my wonderful husband Dustin, we have 2 boys Evan (4), and Landon (1) who keep us hopping, and a dog named Wrigley (my husband is a major Cubs fan ). I am looking forward to losing enough weight to keep up with them all!
  5. The pain that I had was minimal. I agree with the post above, that the gas was the biggest pain. I was worried about much more pain than I actually had. The worst part of my entire surgical process was the 5 sticks it took to get the IV in for anesthesia.....grrrrrrr!!! I still have nasty bruises on my arms after 13 days
  6. I am 13 days post op and have to admit that I know that I have eaten things a few times that I wasn't supposed to. :embaressed_smile:The worst probably being Triscuits with cheese (not recommended] I don't want to say that I'm glad others have cheated but it makes me feel a little better to see that I am not the only one who lacks willpower at times. It is great to see how successful others have been, then I think .......hmmmmmmmmm........keep on doing what you are doing and you will be a big failure. I think now I can stop beating myself up and MOVE ON!!!! Thanks everyone for your honesty:regular_smile:
