I am finally to the point where I am not in constant pain any longer and have been pressing abdomen area to try to figure out where the port is. I'm actually having anxiety about it, because I think it may in the very center just under my ribs, because I still have pain there. Does anyone else have a port placed there? The surgeon said he prefers to place in the center, but he didn't exactly say where in the center and I'm worried it is too high. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App

I have always slept on my stomach, but after the surgery the nurse said I should sleep on my back. I get that for the first few weeks after, but what about now? I actually feel more pain when sleeping on my back. Depending on my position, I've been having pain that really radiates in the area of my liver. They did do a liver biopsy when they placed the band, but I had a liver biopsy several years ago and did not have any residual pain that lasted for weeks. Is it best to sleep on left or right side? I had my surgery on Feb. 18 and flew on Feb. 29. The surgeon had said it should be safe to fly 7-10 days after. For me, that flight was torture. I could not even sip Water. It was so bad that I cancelled my flight home and won't be flying back until the 17th. I'll get my first fill on the 18th and then have another flight scheduled for the 20th. The surgeon said that I shouldn't have any problems after the fill as long as the nurse filling is careful not to have any air in the needle. He said that people have had issues with flights when there is air in the band which can get there during a fill if the nurse is not careful. I guess I'll know for sure when I fly on the 20th.
