  1. Hi everyone! I am new to this forum. I also have Aetna and am confused by the whole thing. I am scheduled for my first three hour seminar appt that will cost 600.00! Out of pocket. With Emory Hospital. I am doing it there since I am an employee. I have the physician's letter and approval. It is kind of gray what the 3 month diet thing is all about. Is it a lot of appointments that mean missing work? Thanks!!!
  2. Thanks for responding snicky! I was told the 2 hour class would be a meeting with the surgeon and endo. I have no clue how they go from there. My current dilemma. My job is dissolved in the Fall. I had no idea the process was so lengthy. I have this job until 9-30. How long was your whole journey first meeting to surgery? I hope I can get this with my current insurance because I have no clue what insurance my next job will have. Praying I find a new job!!

  4. Hi everyone! I am new to the board looking for some answers about the Kaiser process to get surgery. I met with my GP yesterday and she referred me to an endocrinologist. I called this morning for that appt and I have to go to a 2 hour class on the 24th that meets with the surgeon, endocrinologist and someone else. The nurse couldn't tell me a time line after that. I am in Georgia. Does anyone know or have had Kaiser do a surgery recently? Thanks so much! Katy in Atlanta
