    6 days until surgery

I used the MyFitnessPal app and followed a 1,200 calories a day diet which included getting in 80-90g of protein a day. I, also, drank between 64 and 128 ounces of water a day. Plus walking anywhere between 1.5 and 3 miles a day. I started the diet on March 22, 2916 after I attended the first nurse education class which was part of my program. You can do it!! ????

    6 days until surgery

@@TAJ718 I had a requirement to lose 40 pounds prior to surgery. I just lost an additional 10 almost 11 pounds, but the more the better I say! ???? My pre-op diet started yesterday and I am on liquids, broth, sugar-free Jello, sugar-free Popsicles, and Proteins all week and nothing but Clear Liquids on Monday, the day before surgery.

    Final weigh-in and I'm terrified!

@@DogRescuer - my pre-op weigh-in is September 7th as well and I have the same kind of stipulation in my bariatric workbook; I cannot gain any weight from my goal weight loss that was sent by the doctor or they could possibly cancel my surgery. I too was having issues with the scale going up-and-down and I emailed my dietician and she asked what my sodium intake was in a day. She indicated if you are on a low calorie diet you need to lower your sodium intake as well otherwise you will gain water weight. A 1200 cal diet should get 1200 mg of sodium in and I'm not gonna lie it's really hard to do, but it if you can at least lower it from what you've been eating it should help. Also, try to increase your water intake per day. If you can drink a gallon (128 oz.) It should help too!! Best of luck to you!! ????????????

    Vitamin D

My vitamin D level was less than 4, virtually undetectable according to my doctor. He gave me a script and has me taking twice the dose for the first month and then a single dose thereafter.
