  1. I'm still only 1 month post op. So I couldn't tell you my true experience, but I've heard it both ways. For some it changes and others there taste remains the same, they are just better able to handle their cravings and so far I'm in that category, however this may change over time, I'll just have to wait and see. That's all part of the journey. You will do just fine. We all think the same way...before surgery I was a bit concerned that I won't be able to succeed...just do to the fact that I thought MY eating habits was WORSE than anyone, but I found alot of people on here think the same way. So don't be so hard on yourself. Have fun be excited! Your journey is going to be rewarding and life changing. God bless. Seattle WA
  2. I find that I have more will power to resist eating junk food. But, I think because I'm not as hungry I'm better able to handle it. Before surgery if I wanted fast food junk food I had no will power what so ever and I just ate what I wanted. But, I think you'll do well. Just be positive. Seattle WA
  3. Well if your just getting the sleeve. I'm pretty sure you'll get satisfactory results. As I've seen other successes on here and my co-worker actually got the sleeve and lost 120lbs and have kept it off for 3 years now. You can't possiby overeat as it will make you feel sick, dizzy, or you'll just vomit. But you don't want to do that all the time since you can stretch your pouch and gain weight. Seattle WA
  4. Thank you! Are you getting the Sips done? I am sooo happy I did this. And my family and friends notice how much more energy I have now than before. You won't regret it. Seattle WA
  5. Well I also had my gall bladder taken out. And originally it was suppose to 7 hours long but things went well. Surgery weight on April 24th: 294lbs. Current weight 1 month post op 260 lbs. Seattle WA
  6. I just read this post and this has got to be one of the best post ever!!!! Soooo funny. Please keep us updated cause if it works I'm doing it! Keep up the good job. Seattle WA

  8. I am 4 weeks and I get hungry every now and then...although everyone says its head hunger...I just stick to the 4 oz of yogurt/baby food/mush per meal until 7-9weeks when I can start solids and apparently after a month or so you should feel "real" hunger. Seattle WA
  9. Jessica...how far along are you post-op? Seattle WA

  12. Well. I don't have any major health issues. And my surgeon is one of the best here in the Northwest. Dr. srikanth. So I can assume it all depends on the doctors and your health history. But I was surprised too cause I was assuming I'd stay at least one night. But I did all the test and passed exceedingly like the breathing test and cough test and Ofcourse a slew of other test s. So I got to heal at home. Which was best. Sent from my LGMS631 using the BariatricPal App

  14. Yes. My doctor sent me home the same day! He said everything went well and I walked in at 5am had a 6 hour surgery and walked out at 7pm. Sent from my LGMS631 using the BariatricPal App
  15. I am now 6 days post-op. My first and second day after surgery were the worst! I was in immediate pain when I woke up. They were gas pains and mine lasted all day. They were worse than labor pains my opinion at least those came and left for me and it could be pain free if you recieve epidural. But these gas pains were no joke! I was on pain killers and it still didn't ease the pain much. The doctors said to just walk it out theres really not much and gas-x. I had no problem with walking just a couple hours after surgery and it helped. The 3rd and so fourth days are better. I'm in no pain and I had no problem with Water consumption. 25. For my 6 month supervised diet, I lost weight and then gained it all back within the last 2 months so suegeon says to me to just go all liquid diet til I see him on the 4th of April and then 2 weeks from that visit I assume lll be on the all liquid clear diet since my surgery is exactly 10 days from then. But even if it were shorter. How would I have done it 10 days before surgery without cheating. If I can't even do it in advance. Sent from my LGMS631 using the BariatricPal App
