  1. Hi all. I am new to this forum and am looking for help and support. I had the LapBand in 2010 and had some pretty good success with it...after about 4 years, food started getting stuck more often and as it turns out, my stomach had turned and was causing issues...a fact that we didn't know until I had it removed and had the gastric sleeve back in December. I was doing great the first month - I lost 25 pounds pretty quickly. Then I stopped losing for a few weeks, which was very frustrating, and then resumed to lose another 8 pounds. Over the past 3 weeks or so, I have stopped losing and actually have gained a half pound 3 days in a row. I am not eating a lot of calories or super high sugar foods so I am way beyond frustrated. I know that I was told that people who have had the lapband surgery prior to the sleeve surgery don't have as much success but I am really having a hard time dealing with this fact. Does anyone have any words of wisdom?
