  1. Good to hear you are recovering well. I have both appts this coming monday and for those considering the op I managed to use my super to cover the shortfall from my private insurance. Tell me what is meant by free fluids is that no solids for 3 months?
  2. Just close your eyes and swallow lol I hoping the hardest part is behind you.
  3. Goodluck xena_fit. Look forward to hearing about more of your journey to follow.
  4. Hi all. Quick introduction. 48yo male 160kg from Dandenong North. Just getting approval for super release to cover shortfall in insurance for surgery with Ray McHenry. Have dietitian and councillor appointments for a gastric sleeve opp to go. I realise I have to do this and am quite stoic about it all although I have concerns about reflux and deep vein thrombosis. Also thanks all for sharing your stories as knowing what is to come makes it that much easier.
  5. Hi all. First time poster, looking to book surgery with Ray McHenry in Melbourne now that Dept of HS has approved my release of super funds on compassionate grounds for surgery. Can anyone Lizz? help direct me to the other major melbourne forum on here that I have seen. Oh and can I add I am shitting myself but realise I can no longer do this by myself. Cheers
