  1. It took me three to four days to pass all the air I had trapped after they sent me home. The small burps weren't really doing it. There were two separate occasions while in the bathroom were I was able to release a substantial amount with no strain. I was just thankful it was in a private space! If you feel you are constipated you really need to take something for it now! The longer you wait the worse it will be. I took MiraLax on day 4 after surgery because I was worried I was too and I've thankfully been regular since. I am now 16 days post op and drinking is a whole lot easier. Hope you feel better really soon!
  2. I think the requirements that you have to go through are mostly dependent on your insurance requirements but I'm sure each surgeon has their own preferences too. Either way there's a lot of hoops to jump through....it makes getting your date that much sweeter. Maybe you can ask him to consider the RNY if you lose the 30 or 40 pounds, the nice side effect to that will be it brings your bmi down too!
  3. Congrats Papi! I have mine on Monday and I'm excited and nervous at the same time
  4. I am super excited and a little nervous. I am trying to plan for next week. Any tips on what to take to the hospital? Or anything to have ready for when I get home?
  5. Hi everyone.....I am from the Sacramento area, pre-op with UC Davis and with Dr. Ali.
