We should decide on a date and place to meet up next week. I will be in Avondale on Monday and Friday. I get off work at 3pm so if anyone wants to meet at Starbucks on McDowell that would be awesome!
Let me know.

Hey there Debi,
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I work in Avondale on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Just let me know when you are interested in getting together and I'll see what I can do. I don't think I'm ready to do lunch yet just because it would be miserable not to be able to have anything but we could get a smoothie.:smile2:
Banded on Wednesday, April 22nd. Went Great! I don't have the gas pain like I expected and other than a few twinges of pain here and there when I get up I'm all good. Still tired though.
I wasnt able to make it to the band class prior to surgery so I'm really confused about all that I'm supposed to be eating or drinking rather. I'm living off of Water, Protein shakes, and cream of wheat. Anyone have any other suggestions? And do I really have to walk for 30 minutes after I eat each time?
Lots of questions here!
I work in Avondale but live in Black Canyon City. Scheduled for surgery 4-22-09 and would like to have a support network set up. I have a wonderful woman at the office who is banded and would like to know if anyone else wants to get together once or twice a month - if not more - to talk, complain, cry, whatever.
I didn't see any other posts for an Avondale group so figured I would post one.
I have Dr. Fang and am scheduled for surgery on the 22nd. He was very nice and explained everything very well. As for his office staff...they are horrible. Not returning calls, no follow up, didn't tell me that I needed to go on a 2 week liquid diet prior to surgery. Half the time you call the line is busy.
Again, as for the surgeon, he seems to be great but the office is horrible.
I'm scheduled for next Wednesday, April 22nd. I'm really starting to get nervous though because I do my pre-op testing tomorrow and got paperwork in the mail today that said I should have been doing a liquid diet for 2 weeks prior to the surgery. No one told me and my docs office staff sucks!
I'm still excited though, especially from reading the success stories posted here.
You are all an inspiration, from the pre-banders to the post-banders!
