Thank you for the encouragement and the information. I had a big talk with myself this morning and did more reading and then called Dr. Jaysaleen's office and they can get me in on the 25th. I am just going to wait. Like I said I have had my band for five years and it has been a God send for me. In November when I had to have all the fluid taken out all I cared about was getting better. Now that I have that problem solved I am just being so crazy focused on the 28 pounds I have gained. But, if I don't do it the right way I could lose the band forever and I just know I couldn't live with that. Thank you again so much for you words and encouragement....you really helped!!!

Thank you....I am going to see if I can get into Dr. Jay this week. I have an appt. with Dr. Maese on Thursday and I need restriction so bad that I am desperate enough to go and see him if I cannot get into someone else quick!!

Do you know how much Dr. Jay charges for fills with a self pay?

Thank you.....I am hearing so many different things about him....I live in Arlington so it will be easy to go back if I need to but hearing that someone wound up having surgery because of a careless mistake...makes me wonder.

I have had my lapband for five years and never had a problem. I reached my goal weight early in 2007 and was just a happy camper. However, I failed to notice (or chose not to) that I was choking at night, throwing up after every meal and generally not getting anything down. I finally drug myself (well my husband drug me) to our doctor and he did a upper gi on me and found that my esphogus was three times it's normal size and about to explode. Well, needless to say I had to have all my restriction taken out and have been restriction free since the first of October. I am getting ready to get a fill this week and I am a little nervous. Has anyone else ever had this problem and then gotten filled back up?

Thank you.....I will check into this other doctor and see if he can get me in pretty quick. I have got to get some restriction back.

I have an appt. with Dr. Maese on Thursday (2/7/08) and would like any information you have on this doctor. I have been banded for five years and reached my goal weight in 07. However at the end of last year I had to remove all of my fluid from my band because of damage I had done to my esphogus. So, now I have gained 25 pounds, the damage has been repaired and I need my restriction back. I was banded in Mexico and the fill doctor I have been using here that diagnosed my esphogus damage is unavailable. If you have any info. good or bad I would like to hear it.
