  1. Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Push Up......that's all I'm going to say.....simply amazing!
  2. How exciting, Jonathan....the trainer can give you the basics and then even if you can't keep going to her, you can keep doing the program~! I'm almost afraid to say it outl oud, but I really feel like I'm "in the groove" now....I feel super good restriction, I haven't had a single PB....I'm losing and feeling motivated to exercise....WOW....
  3. OMG....aren't those the best bras EVER! I've gone from a 40DD to a 36DD....as long as I'm wearing a good bra, my boobs still look pretty fantastic, if I do say so myself...... YES.....invest in a good bra and I concer the the Very Sexy Push Up bra is miracle worker!!
  4. Found this little chart while reading some other material on the band.....simplistic, but a good basic guide as to whether or not you might need and adjustment. I've been kind of stressed out the last few days and my band has become a sphincter......sure takes away the possibility of stress eating, which is nice.....
  5. There is a great book called "The Food and Feelings Workbook" that my shrink recommended....I did it quite a bit at first, but haven't lately....but if you are a "mood eater" it really helps you build an awareness.... [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Food-Feelings-Workbook-Course-Emotional/dp/0936077204/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1234192878&sr=8-1]Amazon.com: The Food and Feelings Workbook: A Full Course Meal on Emotional Health: Karen R. Koenig: Books[/ame]
  6. I do 30 minutes of the aerobics.....either the stupid hula hoop, the jogging thing or the step program (which is my favorite).... Then I make a point to do three or four yoga positions and three or four strength programs.... Usually about 45 minutes, then, if it's a day off...I play around with the other balance games......
  7. I can't eat bread....but I do fine with rice and Pasta....no carbonation. I miss bread....sometimes I just want a giant subway sandwich.....but then I go put on my size 10 jeans and the sandwich doesn't sound all that great.
  8. It's a great interview, Jonathan..... I don't know what you looked like before, but you're certainly a great looking guy now......love the beard.
  9. Yes, I think that's totally doable.....the lowest I've weighted in my adult life was 160....so it will be interesting! I had a lovely greeting from my wii fit this morning........ it said I'm OVERWEIGHT....and not OBESE! So it was a happy day for me!
  10. Oh Hal, there is such a GRAND life after banding! Yes, there are things that I miss.....I miss big, giant, sub sandwiches....and I miss beer....and I miss diet coke....BUT, I don't miss size 20 pants, I don't miss constant heartburn, I don't miss feeling like a slug, I don't miss taking a handful of medication everday.... I love crossing my legs, I love buying new clothes in the "regular" section, I love having ENERGY, and yes....I love VERY much having men smile at me!
  11. It's funny how different we all really are, shows what a wide range of people the band can help. I'm at 3.7 in a 10cc band....and I don't think I'd want to be any more restricted right now...... As for my one year goal....hadn't really thought about that, I just know I want to be in the 160's by my cruise time in May....reaching my goal of 145 may be a little lofty by then....
  12. Finally....some downward movement on the scale! I had my adjustment on Wednesday and have been on liquids, so that probably has something to do with it, but I'll take it! This is the lowest weight I've been at for a very long time.....probably since the mid 90's... I bought a pair of pants on clearance at Penney's.... A SIZE 10....I couldn't believe it...wore them to work yesterday and felt pretty good about it! I'm quite sure it's vanity sizing, because I'm really NOT a size 10...but hell, I'll take it! Have a day off today....it's raining like crazy, which is better than snow, I suppose! I'll put in a decent work out and then see what the day brings! HAPPY FRIDAY!
  13. FINALLY.....downward movement! aJoneen.......................-3 BrandNewLisa............-1 evelas5000.................0 Desdemona..................0 Fenton..........................0 HarleyGirl.................. -3 75 pounds LOST! Hopeinapril................0 Lynn1215.....................0 NurseNiki...................0 Nycm00.......................-3 Yippee Potatie.........................0 100 POUNDS LOST Scrappy_Friend........0 SpecialK......................0 Sugarbean..................0 100 POUNDS LOST Sharona......................0 Tess415......................0 Thin2bme...................0 WestCoastMom........0 Wishin4......................0
  14. Sorry to hear about your MIL, Tess. My MIL is very fragile health-wise, so I feel your pain.....esp the dysFUNction part!
  15. Thanks for doing the math, Fenton.....that sounds pretty effin' good to me! Feeling pretty confident in this adjustment.....I've had a crystal light and a couple of Protein shakes today....and I'm pretty content.
  16. Back from my visit with my surgeon. I was down eight pounds since my last visit....and especially since it was over the holidays and winter, she was pleased. I, of course, would like to have seen more....but it was my own damn fault. She tweaked my band with .5ml and I can feel a difference, so things will start moving now......esp if I can cut intake and keep on the exercise path! I'll be picking out swimming suits in no time....HAHAHAHA....now THAT is pure torture.
  17. I did "okay" during the superbowl.......the chips and dip kept nagging at me....but didn't drink any alcohol and stayed away from the sweets....oh, and drank about a 55 gallon drum of water......salty things are always my downfall....UGH. Paid my penance on the treadmill tonight, though.......I'm WHOOPED.....I do walk without holding on, but generally keep it around 3mph max....I have pretty short little legs, so that feels like a pretty good clip to me! My iPod is definitely my friend during a treadmill session. I have a playlist set out that keeps me going.....sometimes I just shuffle and skip through the slow songs if I'm bored with the playlist.
  18. Yes, the giant mirrors in the bathroom are a bit disconcerting.....but overall, I still think I look better....some bits are a bit lower than they used to be....but hell, I'm almost fifty years old...that's a lot of gravitational pull over the years, too! I just focus on the fact that my heart is healthier and happier.....I can look good dressed and the list of people that see my naked is fairly short....and all but one of them are getting paid when they see me naked, so who cares? I would love to have some things tucked and lifted....maybe I will, but I've got to get my band paid for first!
  19. I think people do treat me differently to an extent.....but I wonder how much of that is because I project myself differently now that I am more self-confident. I was never a wilting violet, but any means, but I do feel better about myself now and I'm sure that's projected in how I interact with people.
  20. I'm a retired police officer..... now I work part time for the local Harley-Davidson dealership.
  21. So anybody else worried about surviving Superbowl Sunday?
  22. SCRAPPY! Most amazing! I maintained...AGAIN....this week. No harm, no foul....whatever.
  23. Struggling a bit this week....haven't been doing bad, but not great either...just feeling a little out of sorts. Just so tired of the gray and cold....blech. I did make a doctor's appointment next week for an adjustment and visit with the exercise guru....
  24. I did the five day pouch test program after the holidays and found it to be very effective at getting back on track.....
