I will say a quick prayer for you. I had a great surgery. I was banded 2/15/08 down 38 lb since the liver shrinking diet. My husband was banded 3/15/08 he is down past 70 lbs. He started with me on thelier shirnking diet. Best wishes. Tammie

Hello, I have been trying to get connected but still have alittle trouble find the group thread. I was banded on 2.15 and my husband on 3/14 he is doing so good at alomost 70 lbs since I got the new of my schedule surgery. I am down 38 since the liver shrinking a surgery. I am have had 3 fill and haven't felt the sweet spot yet. I don't have any trouble eating anything. My husband does have some. He had his first fill friday and is eating very little. I am walking each day for the last week try to boost my weight lose. Any suggestion1. Hope everyone is doing great. I have my son wedding approach in Sept hope that will motivate me more. Hello Harleynana I am Tammie and I was banded on February 15, 2008. I am down 38 lb. Seems to be going slow any hints. My husband was banded March 14th and is down 80 lbs. Have you went to any support groups? I have no side effects and can eat anything. He has some problems with food. I have 5cc in my band. Can you tell me any suggestions. I would have a Unjury (like slim fast in the morning) Soup for lunch Boost for dinner and lots of liquid in between. They told e not to worry if I didn't want to eat the first week just do what I could. Unjury is 20 grams of Protein in each 8 ounce shake. You can order online get in two days

I appreciate your advise not to compare to my husband. I know that this banding thing will work it just take our bodies time to realize we are not trying to starve it. But when you go from probally 2500-3000 to 450-750 you would think the weight would just fall off. It takes patience. Keep up the good work eveyone.

I am in the Richmond Area. I had my surgey with Dr. Bregman on 2/15/08. Including the Liver Shrinking I am down 25 lbs. But I have only lose 1.2 pound in two weeks. :smile2: My husband is scheduled for 3/14 but he has dropped 40lb already eating what I have eating and doing the Liver Shrinking Diet early. Does anyone go to the support groups in Richmond or Richmond Area?

I was banded on the friday the 15th of Febraury and I am so excited. So far I have had no real pain. I want to attend support groups I need to get dates and time.

Janine, I did my pre surgery yesterday. I am so excited. But really would like to get with others. So you are going to the St. Mary's Group. It appears that you are one step ahead of me I would really like to keep in touch with you. You are doing great to loose 42 lb in 5 weeks. So can you give me some pointers.

I am going in on the 15th. Do you think the meeting would be helpful? I really want this and to work and I hear alot of mix message on this web site.

AshleeSuzanne, I have been on the journey since 12/06. I got the call today. I will have surgery with Dr. Bregman on 2/15. I want to know how you did and what your experience have been so far. My husband and I were having it together and he was denied crazy he need it more that me. So we will appeal but I am going on a take this great appoitment date. We will have Shake together to celerate valentines day and sugery as a post holiday present. Haha. I live in Chesterfield.
