Hi Brittney,
No I wouldn't worry about a flipped port. It is quite normal to have a lumpy feeling and soreness behind the port site at first. I had surgery in Dec. '07 and my port till protrudes a little and is sometimes uncomfortable. I think it is just a price we pay for having the band. Your band is still very new, so give it time to heal inside. You'll be just fine.

Banded 12-28-07
Start Weight: 259 lbs.
6/30/08: 202 lbs.
What itching??? I had my surgery in Dec. '07. I've never been sorry, but I do itch all over. I didn't think that was associated with the band. Has someone told you that it is? My daughter had the surgery in Feb. '08 and she isn't having any problems of any kind.
Congratulations on your decision to get control of your life at an early age. I'm sorry to hear about your loss, ut making this decision will change your life for the better. I was banded on Dec. 28,2007 and am now down from 259 lbs. to 202 lbs. The band is not a mirracle!! You still have to eat sensibly, but the band makes it a lot easier to do that.
Best wishes!!

OH YEAH!!! Of course I can see a difference!! I was 259 lbs. when I was banded on Dec. 28, 2007 and today I am 202 lbs. Not as good as I hoped, but a lot better than before. I will try send some before and after pictures if I can figure out how. Keep up the good work!!!
LOOKING GREAT!!! I was banded Dec. 28, 2007 and two weeks ago I had lost 21 lbs. I started out at 259 lbs. I go again this Wednesday for a second fill and I can't wait to see how much more I have lost. Can you tell me what PCOS is?
