I had this doctor and I had a wonderful experience. I was also nervous, but it was worth it. -
Hey everyone. I am new to this site. I was banded on 1/10/08, which was the best decision I have ever made. I have gone from 316 to 290 and feeling great. Now I'm just wanting to speak with people who have done this, because I know I have a long way to go.

Congrats. Just as a little encouragement. My first couple of weeks post op was a lot easier than the preop diet. I'm having a little difficulty now, because I need a fill and trying to work an appointment in around my work schedule. -

Let me tell you first, I am a nurse, so I did so much research before I decided to go to Mexico. I had the procedure done with Dr. Corvala in Tijuana, Mexico. I choose there because of the price of course, $7500 and I spoke with facilitator who was great and gave me so much information. I had the procedure done at Hospital Angeles. -

I was actually banded in Mexico. Weight loss surgery was written out of my plan, and I didn't want to waste the time fighting them to get it done. I'm 31 years old and My highest weight was 330 and I I felt I was loosing time with my childen, because I just couldn't keep up. It's almost three weeks since my surgery and I'm already feeling more energy and just so happy I did this.. -
I just wanted to let you know that I had the lap band done in January in Mexico with Dr. Corvala and was very pleased. I am a nurse here in the states, but the hospitality and care was wonderful.
