  1. I seem to be having a simular problem, I have gone to the doctor to start the guided diet and started pulling my records from the doctor's office and I have documentation of starting the diet in May 05 and again documented in September 05 and now again in November 05. I am not sure though if it has to be documented month by month, in September my doc said to come back in two months. And i can't seem to get a straight answer from my insurance.
  2. You're doing great, i am still continuing my doctor guided diet, i am not losing much though i have to lose 10% of my BMI. I am currently a size 24/26. I would like to even be a 14 at this point. I want to lose weight and be healthy i find myself getting more and more upset that its not coming off at all just maintaining. hopefully i can get the surgery soon to help me gain control of my life.
  3. WOW! I am also seeing Dr. Lusco! He's one cute man ... whew! You can really tell he cares about his patients. I am getting all of my info together for the office, and may have to do a 6 months monitored diet before my insurance approves, so hopefully I can get banded soon, until then I'm still crossing my fingers and hoping for the best. It seems ironic to me I want to lose weight for myself and to feel better, but truly its so that I can have children, so its kinda weird to think i am losing it to gain some back ... lol. rebecca
  4. I am in the same boat, my insurance was saying as long as you have a BMI of 35 there will be no problems then i get a call from the doctor's office saying I need a 6 month doc supervised diet and exercise program. I have now seen the doctor to start the program but began to think about the times i have been to the doctor in the past year and i know my weight has been brought up so i have now started pulling records from my Dr. Office and OB/GYN. So maybe I can go to the doctors office for just a couple months instead of the 6 they are requiring. I am just wondering if there are going to be any more hurtles to jump after this? Hopefully I won't have to wait until April. I've been dieting since i was 16.
  5. Thanks for your reponse, I am glad to see some else from KY on here. It was nice not to get another "fried chicken" response. How is the Band going for you? how long have you had it?
  6. HELLO! Is anyone out there? I know there has been about 400 Lap Bands done by the surgeons group I am looking into using, does anyone in the Kentucky Area have any comments or suggestions about their physicican?
