  1. Hello, I am a 29 year old, weighing in at 257. I have two children, and a very active lifestyle. I met with my surgeon today, and went in knowing I wanted the lap band. He seemed to think I would not like it, and his receptionist tried to flat out talk me against it. They are both fans of the sleeve instead. I have no health issues, I work an active job, work out three-four times a week, and eat as well as I can. I am discouraged that I cannot lose the weight on my own, and I am ready to stop focusing on my weight, and enjoy the beautiful things I have in front of me. I would like advice from people who have the lapband, or people who have the sleeve. I hate thinking I know what I want only to be second guessed. This is a big decision for me, I do not have the finances to have multiple surgeries. Help?!?
