  1. Wow. That's crazy! Are you going to get a new cut? I'm sorry I'm sure that's really upsetting! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Knowing she's a nurse and not scared actually makes me feel comforted! I'm so sorry you're feeling down. If this works out we will have a much different outlook in short order. Hopefully seeing how your wife does it'll help with the fear. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. We are worth it. I too am tired of similar things. Sitting in a booth and hoping I'm not jammed in. Carefully choosing clothes to hide myself. Never wearing shorts. Being petrified of heart disease. It really goes on and on. We gotta do it. I'm definitely less scared and more excited now. Talk to me the night before surgery tho [emoji50] Let me know when your wife has it if you would. I'd love to hear about her journey. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  5. I have been changing my mind a lot about the surgery but last night I read a thread on a Facebook group. The person asked if people were happy with their surgery. The responses (hundreds of them) were overwhelmingly YES. Even some who had complications said they'd do it again. That did it for me. I'm doing this and now that I've made the decision I can hardly wait! I know I'll be nervous but my decision is made and that in itself is a relief.
  6. I'll be thinking of you. The clot in my leg resolved pretty fast. Usually if the pain is gone or at least better that's a sign it's dissolving on its own. Are you still on the blood thinners?
  7. Not yet. I have my final appointment March 23 and then I think they need final approval from insurance. I'm guessing another month and a half. So nervous and excited! How is the clot? Has it resolved? Is the pain better?
  8. I'm sorry you're suffering. I'm following the newly sleeved folks closely so thanks for posting because it helps us preop people know what to expect.

  10. I keep reading about head hunger but I don't know how you know the difference. Others have posted that drinking water helps. I have no experience because I'm pre op still. I worry about the same thing. I don't know how you could go back though because your stomach can't hold much food.
  11. Probably a good idea. Better to be safe. I'm sure I'll be the same way after surgery. Glad you feel better tho! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. How're you feeling today Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. My program requires two months nic free. I am being tested at the end of the month and quit cold turkey on Thursday morning. I wish I had quit sooner as the fear of quitting was so much worse than the actual quitting! Please let me know if you tested clean. I'm nervous too. I couldn't be happier about quitting! Life changing! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. Did you pass or was surgery delayed? Don't leave us hanging Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. Hope all is well with you AB2B. Been thinking of you Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  18. Wow! You look incredibly healthy and like an athlete! Well you are so why wouldn't you look like one! Sounds like you e made all the right changes for a fit life. No chocolate is worth the way you're living now. So amazing! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. I think it'd be less common to not be anxious. We are undergoing a big surgery that will change our lives. I don't even have my date yet and I'm anxious! I'm sure I'll be a lot more nervous when it's just days away. Hang in there you are so close to the other side! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. I was approved within a month. My insurance has a one year waiting period where you have to have monthly phone meetings with a health coach. So that sucked. The actual bariatric program with the hospital had the usual tests both physical and mental. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. Omg! Well if I have one fix it dammit. I don't want to go under again. [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. Thank you so much for all of this info. I like the idea of the frozen yogurt pops. I will bring slippers. I think I'll go to the hospital in them. [emoji23] There's a goodwill not far from here. I will buy my transition clothes there for sure. I figured leggings would be good because of their stretch. When I hold mine up they look like they'd fit a size 2 but somehow they fit a 22! I'm getting the sleeve and I will have to think on a name. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. Hahaha TWD is one of my favorite shows! I bought from Mt Baker. I got berry crunch and cinnamon toast munch I hope I am as successful as you both. Let's stay in touch! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. Wow greeneyes! That's wicked inspiring! Both of you! I just ordered some zero nic vape juice. Dug out my vape and cleaned it all up and changed the atomizer. You are both amazing. I know it's not easy. Well, I don't really know lol. Hopefully I'll know soon. Can't wait! I love Panera soup if you have one near you give it a try! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. Wow! Quit smoking and losing weight. That's a dream come true! Huge congrats!
