  3. Had my surgery yesterday at st. Alexius medical center in Hoffman estates IL recovering from the gastric sleeve procedure
  4. So I got bad news... Something weird showed up on the X-ray and they are making me wait I'll be on nothing but ice for 1 more day and tomorrow they repeat upper gi to make sure my stomach isn't leaking. I'm not in any pain with the pca they gave me, but one other thing I was concerned about was the inability to pass bowels or urine just yet. They had to drain my bladder with a urine catheter 3 times in the last day. Hoping that this takes a turn for the better and my recovery process and liquid diet can begin tomorrow
  5. Hello my name is David! I weight roughly 340 lbs and have been pursuing bariatric surgery since June of 2015. I just came across this forum and wanted to introduce myself. I just had my sleeve procedure yesterday at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, IL. I Plan on sharing my journey here And using this forum as an educational resource. If anyone else on this forum happens to live in the area of Illinois I would love to hear your experiences with the surgery as well
