Mine too.. but he said cream would be okay. He said, if it can't go through a straw, then dont eat it. I think it was the sodium.. I should have diluted it. I'm eating the same soup now, but this time I diluted it with milk. So far everything is fine.

Yeah, that happened to me last night as well as a few days ago. I broke out in a sweat too. Usually when I eat something I shouldn't be. Last night had creamy chicken Soup out of the can. I didn't dilute it. Although I only had about a tablespoon, it was enough. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

I usually sleep on my right side. Not completely on my stomach but my stomach does end up half way down. I have a body pillow i have been using. I put it on my left side to push me more on my right. It's comfortable for a while but getting up is a *bleep* since the left side is where done muscle was stapled. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

I had my first BM since last Saturday when I started my liquids. I feel so good today that I actually put on regular clothes. I'm tired of wearing pajamas. I still don't want to wear a bra, but I am wearing a shirt with support. I'm even going to do my laundry. Slowly. But it will get done today. How is everyone else doing with their incisions? Has anyone tried cream of chicken soups? I had my first today. I didn't have a lot, maybe a tablespoon . I ate it VERY slow and I felt the beginning of a cold sweat. So I stopped. Then I got very sweaty and now I'm in bed trying to relax a little. Is it too soon to have it at 4 days Post-Op?(or are we at 3 days) Or should I try it again and dilute it a little? I'm just glad it didn't hit me like the first time.

Yes @@ChooChi73 He said that concentrated protein is not full protein. Only partial. He said I need 100% protein because I will be lacking nutrients as it is & I will need the full benefit of what ever protein i drink. Which is what isolate is. Nectar is isolate.

That reminds me, I don't think I shared my scare! So, Wednesday morning at about 5am, I still had some gas that I was releasing while walking around the house. While I walked, I drank 2 ounces of protein, 2 ounces of water and half an ounce of my pain meds. WOAH! I broke out in a terrible sweat! Like I had done TaeBo for an hour. Droplets all over my chest, neck and face. I got so pale and I swear I was about to faint. I went to my bed just in case it happened. Then I felt like I was going to get the runs, so I got up and went to the bathroom. I passed gas. It was a long one. Within seconds, i stopped sweating and I felt so much better. It was so scary that I called my doctor. He said it was normal and that my body is going through mega changes and this might happen again. I'm assuming what I experienced was a bit of dumping syndrome. He said it can last for up to an hour??? Ugh... it was terrible.

@@Pup I wrote this a couple months ago on a post. I thought you'd be interested in getting the variety pack. ______________________ HELLOOO!!! I just wanted to update as of today 3/28/2016, they are still selling the sampler for 16.99 (shipping included). I just called the number and didn't think it would work, but it did. YEY. They said it was only a one time buy for the variety pack. After that we they'll only sell jars, but it's worth to try all the flavors and check which one you like the best. The number is still 1.866.333..7403 EX 803 They asked where I heard of it and I said BariatricPal and they knew about the site. lol

I drink nectar. They have all flavors but I like the chocolate the most. Also I like the pineapple flavored one. It kind of tastes like pina colada. I can't remember the name of that flavor. They also have a Cappuccino just in case I get that coffee craving. I purchased the sampler and tried them all. Most of them are fruity flavors. They're all pretty great. 23 grams of protein & with fat free lactate milk you'll have at least 30 grams. My doctor didn't want me to drink concentrated Protein drinks. He told me to find protein made from isolate. And nectar is not thick and tastes great!

May 24 Surgery Day
Okay, here is my update for today. I hadn't taken any pain meds since yesterday at 5 pm. I wanted to see if my gas pain would go away. I'm happy to say it DID go away. I managed to get rid of all my gas. BUT without pain meds, my insides began to hurt. I don't know why I didn't consider the insides. I was so focused on my incisions that I didn't remember that they cut up my insides too. *Dummy* So, although I got rid of the gas, the chest pain I felt was keeping me from taking in my fluids. So far I have taken in 6oz water & 2oz of jello & it's already 1:30pm. I just took my pain meds & hopefully I'll be able to take in my fluids before the night comes. Since I'm back on pain meds, I will do the milk of magnesium tonight to avoid tomorrow's gas. I sure hope it works out. Also, I'm not doing the protein drinks until the pain is gone. That also brings in the gas. My incisions look great & they are already starting to itch. Yey.. This is the worst one..

That's the thing.. the only pain I feel is from the gas. My incisions only hurt when I'm getting in and out of bed. But this gas, man.. I'm so bloated. I walk most of the day, I can't find another explination. ???? ... I feel I owe it to myself to try it out. If I still can't pass gas tomorrow, of course I will continue taking the pain meds. But the gas has me walking hunched over. It's terrible. Gas X didn't work, I have to try something before I take milk of magnesium. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

Yyeeyyyy... I made it to 22 ounces! I had 64 grams of Protein and I still have a couple of hours before bed.. I decided that I'm not taking the pain meds anymore. I think that is what is keeping me from passing gas. Tomorrow I will avoid it and if I pass gas regularly, then I will stop. My incisions don't hurt as much as the gas does. We'll see what happens.. ???? Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

I agree @@Peach55 ... I have read before that for the first two weeks, surgery is very much regretted. As I'm waking around my house, I keep saying to myself, "it's worth it... it's worth it... it's worth it" these gas pains won't last and a healthy future is right around the corner! Oh yes tea! My doctor told me it was okay to take peppermint tea. The smooth move one that helps digestion. I need to send someone to go and buy it for me.. i cannot tolerate the car right now. Lucky for me, i only live 10 minutes away from the hospital. I admire anyone riding more than 10 minutes. Sorry TMI... I think the hospital meds were keeping me from passing gas. I managed to pass 3 small ones, but it made SUCH a difference. I'm glad I forced myself up for a walk at 5 am. I've been walking around for 30 minutes trying to get more out. And I've taken in 2 ounces of Protein i plan on taking in all my protein before anything else. My doc said I can have fat free lactate milk so if I finish this cup, that will be 64 grams of protein. Yey.

My gas pain is mostly gone. I had my bandages changed and had last minute meds injections. I'm going home in 30 minutes. I won't weigh myself until the gas pain is completely gone. I don't want a false weight because I'm bloated. Lol... Now we will gather to tell our progress instead of how scared and nervous we are.. yey maybe in a month or two, I'll post a progress picture. I hope to have lost at least 30 in two months. I can't wait.

Me too! I was in my bed in the waiting room. They said okay it's time. Next thing I know, I'm waking up and they said surgery was done. I don't remember anything in between. But now, all we have to focus on, is healing and dropping them pounds! Yey to us losers! Congratulations to everyone sitting on the losers bench with me! You guys have motivated me even more than I already was. Thank you for that. ????????????

In My Hospital Bag
So I had surgery yesterday. Everything went well. I just wanted to update what I used from my bag. I'll be discharged at 6pm. I forgot my blanket, lotion and hair brush, but I definitely would have used them. I didn't use my socks because my slippers were so warm. I never got around to the Q-Tips. Other than that, I used everything else. BTW. I hospital with Kaiser Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

So I ordered beef broth. And it stinked up my room so good! My surgeon just happened to walk in. Before opening my curtain he said "It smells like McDonald's in here!" I started laughing and said, "Noooo! It's just a little beef broth" he thought someone was in here torturing me. To be honest, I don't have much of an appetite. I just wanted something warm on my throat that is still scratchy from the breathing tube. I'll be discharged at 6pm today. He said I made surgery very easy for him and he thanked me. My surgery weight was 230. I'm too scared to weigh myself today. Where is everyone? I can't be the only one who is excited.. We're on our way to skinny-ness!! lol I've also been walking 10 minutes every hour.
