May 24 Surgery Day
If I put them on at night I usually put themOn My hip I notice they stay on well or on my shoulder blade...I get my three month check up on a few weeks let's see if these have helped bcuz like you the chewables makes me so nauseous maybe once everything settles I can resume the Vitamins Sent from my iPhone using BariatricPal I put it on first thing in the morning after my shower, or after I swim. It only needs to be on 8 hours. By the time I go to bed, it's so stuck on my skin, it stays on the whole night. I peel it off while I brush my teeth. I don't know why I remember at that moment. Lol

Yes, I can have potato.. but I baked it before I "fried" it... I just wanted then to have that crispy fried taste My doctor told me not to eat more than 50 grams of carbs. I'm usually very low.. in the 30's. My calories still don't go past 500. And I'm averaging my protein at 75-80. @@Lana R.

So yesterday, I made chili cheese fries for dinner... I used my non stick pan and sprayed a little Pam on it. I "fried" the fries and then I put fat free turkey chili on top and 1/4 cup cheese. It was SO good. Not as good as the fast food, but I enjoyed every bit of it. And it gave me 20 grams of Protein. Still not enough calories but I'm getting fun with with cooking stuff now. By the way... I cut the fries very small so they'd cook fast.

June 7th was my surgery date
Hi, I had surgery May 24. In the middle of week 6 I held steady on to 199.8-200.8 lbs for 10 days. (Couldn't my stall come at 197 just to be out of the 200's?! Lol) I started on week 8 now and today my stall has finally broke. I lost 1.4 lbs. Putting me at 198.6. please believe, it will pass. It might seem like it won't, but it will. I can't lie, it was VERY depressing for me. I felt like I wanted to give up and I wanted to stop gyming it up, but I kept going. I even said, I had this surgery to only lose 35 pounds?! BUT I kept drinking my protein and my water. But I did it with a sour face. I still can't eat as much as they would like me to eat, but I'm trying. Eat healthy they say, eat small they say... how can I do that if I do both I only get to 400-500 including my protein. Smh. How will I ever get to 800 calories if I'm always full?!

Kaiser day of surgery
Oh well at least you have that. I had to do a 12 week class and if I gained, my doctor would not operate. When I graduated, I had lost 19.6 pounds. The day of surgery, I laid on a bed and they attached me with my IVs. When they said it's time, I blacked out. Lol. Then I woke up with a breathing mask on my face. I remember it was sooo itchy. A lot of people have bad experiences with recovery. I am very lucky because my recovery was very smooth. I felt normal pain but that is something you deal with on your own. To this day, 7 weeks post-op, I still have not felt hunger pains. I had nothing but broth, water and ice chips. The beef tastes the best! Other than that, the nurses check in here and there with meds. I had my own room, which was good because I kept getting up to try to pass gas. Walking didn't work for me. But remember, it does go away. Lol. I cried because I thought I'd have it forever.

Oh good. I'm on time then. I was weighed on my pre-op education appointment and the day of surgery. It really depends on your doctor. On my pre-op education appointment, I had gained 2.6 pounds. My surgeon didn't cancel my surgery. Did you do the options program?

When Did You Know You Could Do It?
Right before I made my final decision to go through with the RNY, I had a fear that I might lose too much weight. I thought, what if I lose the 110 lbs I need to lose but I can't stop after that? What if I keep losing and i look like a walking skeleton? No no no this is too risky. It's not for me! It's really silly now that I think about it. I'm only 7 weeks post-op, but I'm confident of how much I will lose and where I WILL stop. ????

I Have a Surgery Date - RNY
Hi, my surgery was 5/24/16. Tomorrow I'll be 7 weeks post-op. As of today, I've lost 34 lbs since surgery. There will be hard times and regrets but it's completely normal to feel that way. It's all part of the healing. Your life is going to change. You will be okay and when you are 7 weeks post-op, you will look in the mirror like I did and say, you did it! You made a great choice! You look great! My knees don't hurt anymore, the seat belt doesn't hurt my butt anymore. I fit comfortably in a carnival ride. And I still have 55 more pounds to lose. When you feel scared, make plans about future you. How fabulous you're going to look and feel. It's worth it. Good luck!

@@Lindsey Skinner Abbott Yeah offices are great. I wish I was there instead of where I am. I work in the warehouse. There are over 350 employees. We are divided by units. But it's like civil war. I have an angry resting face, so everyone thinks I'm stuck up. But I'm not, I'm such a sweet girl. Everyone in my own unit loves me, but other units look at me like I'm trying to complete. Story of my life, girls hate me and guys like me. Lol

@@summerset Yes, most of them do suck. That's why I stick with myself and take naps during breaks.

May 24 Surgery Day
@summerset I have been off work for 11.5 months on a shoulder/neck injury. So losing the weight I have lost is okay because no one at work will know I've lost it in only 6 weeks. I return to work on the 29th. If I weigh 185, no one will pay attention that I will still be losing weight. (30 more to be exact)but it will be much slower. But if I'm at this weight everyone will know I had surgery because I'll still lose 50 pounds. At my job everyone is very judgemental and cruel for no reason. I am very private and I don't like anyone knowing my business. Especially if, God forbid, I regain the weight and they gossip and laugh about my failure. 8 years ago I was the #1 topic of gossip and I've maintained low status since then. I don't want to give them an excuse. I would go home in tears. I just don't want to go through that again. It's just terrible, but it's a government job and the benefits and pay are amazing. @Pup Yes, I have started swimming since my doctor released me for all physical activity on the 6th. Before that I was just doing some light dancing. My doctor also told me to eat fruits and veggies now. Maybe the change in eating is what is giving me the stall? I just don't know. Sigh.

May 24 Surgery Day
I know it's not good looking at the scale everyday. But I do, and I can't stop, it's there and I just need to know. These are my weigh-ins for the last week. I wish I could just accept the stall and keep going, but today I gained almost 1 pound since yesterday. I stated crying instantly. I need to lose 15 pounds by the 29th and I just don't think it will happen for me. Is anyone else on a gain/lose stall like me? It would sure make feel a lot better.

May 24 Surgery Day
@@Pup Yes, I knew it was coming. That's why I tried to sit before I fell. My sister was so scared. I tried to calm her and tell her it's normal. It has happened before and it will happen again. It's my fault for not paying attention. I just need to be more careful and eat slowly. I told her I was fine and I didn't need to go to the ER. It took a while before I could convince her I was okay to drive home from her house. Which is 10 mins away. I really need to look into getting a medical bracelet.

May 24 Surgery Day
Disneyland... So, I have been feeling great! I'm drinking my Water. I'm having my Protein. I'm even trying to keep up with my Vitamins. Doctor released me for everything. I decided to go to Disneyland. I have a year pass so I don't mind going in the evening time. I got there at 5pm yesterday and left at 1030pm. At 9pm, I took out my protein snack and sat on the floor to watch the beautiful fireworks. Big mistake. I didn't pay attention to how much I was eating and ate way too fast. At 10 I wasn't feeling well and told my sister we need to go home now. It took us 30 mins to get to the tran line. That's when it happened. I got nausea and I started sweating real bad. I walked away from my sister and went to stand in a clear area. I leaned on the fence to try to sit on the floor before it happened but I was too late, my whole body was sweating, I became so light headed that my body collapsed. Before I knew it, there was a crowd around me. Asking me all kinds of questions that, at that moment, I just couldn't answer. It felt like all of this happened within 10 minutes to me, but my sister said we were there for 45 minutes. Then a nurse came and took my vitals. My blood pressure was low, so they brought a wheelchair to me and put me on a bus to my car. I was so embarrassed for causing a scene. At disneyland of all places. Ugh

May 24 Surgery Day
I decided to go through pics on my phone this evening and see what I could come up with for a face comparison. Not sure if I'm doing this right. Sent from my SM-G920T using the BariatricPal App Wow, this is a big difference. You look so much younger! It's crazy how much younger one looks after a few pounds have been shed.
