  1. Yes the gas x strips do work and of course walking. How much are you able to eat? Sometimes I feel like I eat alot? Idk I still haven't felt the feeling of full i think. I get so scared that I just stop but I end up eating more frequently. Idk if this makes sense.
  2. Anyone else feel like their taste buds keep changing. One day I can stomach something and the next day it tastes gross.
  3. Hey everybody. Surgery went well. No complaints or complications. I guess the only thing I would say is I wish I spoke to him more or that he was more friendly. He's nice. He was on time for rounds in the hospital . He did a beautiful surgery and gallbladder removal. All is well.
  4. Yup I'm up and about but really struggling to get fluids in. Been having lots of muscle spams and pain. So it's hard to tell if I'm full .
  5. Surgery went well I'm 5 days post op and soo hungry for anything other than water and tea and Popsicles and broth!! I admit I cheated and had a mashed carrot from the chicken noodle soup I drained. It was the best carrot I've ever had!! Lol
  6. Surgery in the morning!! So excited but very very nervous! See you on the other side
  7. Hey hey. Mine is the 14th. Getting geared up and ready. Are you on a pre op diet?Yes I've been on my pre op diet since Wednesday I only have to do one week. And I bought protien drinks to do a pre op diet like 3 days before

  9. Hi everybody. My surgeon is Dr. Houseworth. I have heard from coworkers who have had the sleeve done that he was great. My surgery us on Thursday so I will let you know how it goes. I just had my last appointment with him today.
  10. Thank you! That's so good to know. Looks like you met goal in only a few months!!
  11. I'm 5'1 and currently 197. My lowest weight was 115 , 4 years ago. My goal weight is 110 to 115. Anybody get that low??
  12. Not including the weekend days about 7 days. I called everyday about.
  13. Hello everyone I'm scheduled for Jan 24th!!
  14. Yes I felt really frustrated that I had to wait another 6 months and now I'm just super anxious for the surgery. But the 6 months was alot if time to practice new lifestyles like eating and not drinking etc. Wish you the best!
  15. Hello 1Irene, My insurance is probably a little different. But they too required a 6 month nutrition program before insurance approval. This equated to 1 consult a month. During the 6 months I did my psych evaluation, EGD, abdominal xray and all the other tests and clearances including cardiac clearance for surgery. After the 6 months the office sent all my info to insurance. I called abt every 2 days and was approved in abt 9 days. After that I called the office to schedule surgery. They also scheduled me for the pre op nutrition class and preoperative surgery class as well as a final appointment with the Doc before surgery. And of course my surgery date. They did not give me a check in time as I won't get that until my final appointment. They scheduled surgery about 6 weeks out from when I called to schedule so unfortunately I couldn't get in before the end of the year. But that's been my journey!
