  5. I'm a few weeks away from surgery and only support i have is bariatric pal and my husband. My dad is questioning why I'm going through with this surgery he says i have the will power to lose on my own. I've been yoyo dieting for years and continued to fail i need help I've tried everything and surgery is the only way i can find help. Nobody understands my struggle but those who are going through it. Sigh....venting

  7. Im am so subscribing to this thread. Im 5'9" weigh 320 goal weight is 175. Surgery is on dec 29. I want to lose weight and be healthy but dont wanna lose my curves.
  8. Oh my you get to eat more than i do. I only can have Protein shakes sugar free popsicles Jello and chicken broth thats it.
  9. Hey went to my pre op appt today cw is 320 goal weight is 175. I wanted to know how much did you lose during the PRE OP LIQUID DIET PHASE? I start liquids on dec 14 my surgery is dec 29.
  10. Well guys i start my pre op diet dec 14 and surgery is on 29th !!!! Excited
  11. Ive heard of a woman that had abdominal surgery and she developed abdominal adhesions they were unable to operate her laparoscopic so they had to open her up. I suggest u consult with different surgeons before choosing the right path. Good luck.

  13. Sounds odd my surgery is on the 29 and i got prescribed pain meds now so i can have them by surgery. I would suggest talking to him to express your concerns
  14. Hi im 5'9 weigh 320 pounds my surgery is on december 29. I started to consider wls in january of this year and was recommended via a friend. I started the process in june of seeing all the specialist and by sept 8 i was approved for surgery. Ive been yoyo dieting for years and im sick of it ! Need something permanent to fight obesity. Best of luck in your process.

  16. Thanks im not in phase just yet my doc did not require me to lose weight. Ive gain weight but not yet in the pre op diet
  17. I have questions as to the pre op diet. I have gained weight instead of losing. I moved got married full time student im a mom etc . how much did you lose during the pre op liquid diet phase ? ( anyone who was 300+ lbs please respond )

  20. So great i can share my ideas and concerns with people going through the same process. Im 5 foot 9 320 pounds im getting the sleeve my surgery date is December 29. Hope to have a successful surgery and healthy lifestyle:)
