just been weighted 2day i am down another 5kg in a month i am delighted as i am now going onto 9stone. got yet another lectuer abut drinking vodka i just said as long as the weight is coming of i am not bothered at all:biggrin2:

I have recently done a article on gastric band surgery for a scottish news paper which can be found going onto my contact details.

I have just came back from 1 week away in a caravan with my hubby and candy @floss my 2 cavalier king charles spaniels whilist being away was great, the weather was fab, the site was 10 miles frm county durham. We done loads of walking, it was the 1st time I have been away since being banded I found it very difficult as I constantly felt hungry. It didn,t help with going to the seaside resorts and watching people q all the way outside all the fish and chips shops on hot days to stuff there faces. I didn,t go of the rail once although the temptation was there. The only thing that kept me going was the fact I have to face the dietician and the staff nurse on this monday to get weighted:ohmy:

Hi Chris you are doing really well also I have read all your articles in the Evening news and scotland on sunday. Spire murrayfield are hoping to set up a support group which I could do with cause I still have good days and very low days

thanks christine people think cause you have the band that u can eat anything and everything you have to be patient. Hopefully you will get your band sorted and things will be ok, I think it is very important to have people to talk too, It hasn,t been easy for me I have cried alot since I got the band in, but u do have good days and very down days. :biggrin2:Hi I was banded 24th Nov 07 @ Spire Murrayfield Hospital in Edinburgh the consultants that done my op were 1st class Mr Bruce Tulloch and Mr Andrew De Beaux. I would never have went abroad even if it was alot cheaper I feel you need good after care after having gastric band surgery to help you cope with the good and bad days that you have. Since my op I have came down 7stone I have done 2 open days at the hospital regarding weight-loss surgery and I have also recently appeared on the Scotland on Sunday newspaper doing a big article regarding weight-loss surgery. Hopefully Iam hoping to get a support group set up in Edinburgh for people who are thinking about getting the gastic band and folk that have already had it done

Hi hope ur husband get,s the ok to have a lapband fitted. I had my operation on the 24th Nov 07 and I have never looked back, before I didn,t go out, couldn,t walk very far now I hate staying in since I have lost 3st 7lb or 49lb.

Hi My Name Is Elaine On Th E24th Nov 07 I Had Lap Band Surgery So Far I Have Lost Nearly 4 Stone And Doing Well. On Thursday I Had My First Band Fill I Not Hungry Between Meals AnyMORE, I Believe It Is Trial With Food To See What I Can And Can,t Eat. I Would Love To Hear From ANYONE Who Has Had The Same Surgery.
