  1. It helped me tremendously to eat sugar free popsicles and soft ice flavored with Crystal light just to get over that need to chew. Hang on -- you will be chewing before too long! For me - I had lean pork loin with some brown gravy made from a packet and thought it was awesome!
  2. I would agree with KPerry as I have heard that iron causes black tarry stools. Probably a combination of EVERYthing we are doing, struggling to get in enough fluids, vitamins, all that chocolate protein powder . I jokingly refer to mine as goose poop and yes it is sticky and nasty. Even likes to cling to the bowl after a couple flushes! Hang in there everybody!

  4. I am new to the forum and am Post-op day 6 and doing much better than I anticipated! For the most part feel very good. The first couple of days I was VERY dry and had a difficult time getting enough fluids in. Today - I am much improved - still some pain but that has improved as well. I was 9 lbs up from my pre-op weight at discharge from the hospital because they really loaded me with lots of fluids so I wouldn't be dehydrated. So I'm trying not to pay much attention to the scales at this point! I just wanted to wish everyone LOTS of luck and a speedy recovery! I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this community!
