  1. Congratulations @@VSGMEPLZ26! Wishing you a healthy speedy recovery. ???????? Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App
  2. @@Butterfly123 Thank you so much! This is good information. I've already started on my household chores. I'll have have my movies ready to go as well. I am also going to look for the Premier Protein shakes this weekend. I need to pack a bag for the hospital so I will check the forums on what all I should bring. I appreciate your help. This is exciting!!!! ????????????
  3. I will be having surgery with Dr. Lahmann on the 5th of July. So far the process has been very smooth and informative. If you are thinking of going through this office you will be in good hands. Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App
  4. Day 11 of pre-op diet and my surgery date is approaching fast. I must admit I am nervous! Is there anything special that should be doing to make things a bit easier for the day of surgery? Also I was going to continue purchasing Protein shakes from my surgeon's office but purchasing both the Protein Shakes and Vitamins are very expensive at $73 per month. Any suggestions on a less expensive Protein shake? TIA Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App
  5. I am scheduled for July 5th. Today is the first day of my pre-op diet and I am soooooo hungry but I can't wait!!!!
  6. @@farooforever yes I have seen many cases of this but fortunately for me it was a false alarm it wasn't my surgery that was denied it was a procedure outside of the surgery for repairing a hital hernia which I don't have.
  7. Thank you @@ssflbelle! I will most certainly stick with it all the way up until surgery and well beyond. Yes crafting is my new thing and I love the crafting groups on FB. The ladies and gentlemen there are really talented. Seeing so much pretty stuff and talking about it almost everyday my husband got me a Cricut so that I could stop talking to him about the projects that I see lol! I'll keep you posted on my progress. 8. @@Valentina Thank you! I can't wait!!! Mine transformation doesn't start until July but I am happy that at least it will be summer and no winter coat will be needed when it happens. I will definitely keep posting.
  9. @@Scarolann So what I was told over the phone today is that when they submit for approval they usually submit more than one code and figured that the one for the letter that I got would be denied. I may be wrong but I am thinking that since this particular code was for repairing a Hiatal Hernia that they go ahead and submit for this anyway just in case if once you are in surgery and they find that you actually do have one then you are already approved for them to do the repair as oppose to scheduling you for another surgery. I hope that this helps. I would just give them a call in the morning. If it did not specifically state the name of the procedure that you are having then you are most likely fine. That would mean that one of the procedures other than your major procedure was not approved. No worries. To clarify what you received just go ahead and give them a call first thing in the morning. Please keep us posted.
  10. @@Marie2016, @@Susan66, and @@crazygoose Thank you ladies! I'm done running and dancing in the halls singing James Brown's I feel good! Nobody was there to throw the cape over my back but that's alright because I feel like I'm on cloud nine.
  11. @@Inner Surfer Girl Thanks! I totally agree. I had the urge to eat something to take the edge off but I got on my treadmill and walked instead. After that I booted up my Cricut and started working on a few craft projects. I was so happy that I didn't fall back into my old habits of emotional eating when I become stressed. I've come a long way.
  12. @@Miss Mac Thank you Miss Mac! Its a big relief. Now I can focus on continuing to eat healthy and exercising all the way up to the day of surgery.
  13. I thought that I would start a second thread because many people who come across the end of the post on my last thread are not aware of the update. So after getting hysterical over the letters that I received in the mail on Friday, I pretty much spent the weekend feeling anxious so I threw myself into doing some projects for a few crafting groups that I am a part of on FB. I dived into a few projects to pass the time while I waited for Monday to arrive so that I could call my surgeon's office. I was prepared to give them an entire run down of why I feel like I shouldn't have been denied but after two minutes into the conversation and briefly being placed on hold I was told that my surgery was approved!!! I am scheduled to be sleeved for the first week in July! I wanted to have it done sooner like by or before my birthday but I have a out of pocket expense, and educational class to pay for as well as finish paying off what's left of the balance for my consultation. This gives me some time to get everything paid off. I am so happy I could just run up and down the halls and do cartwheels. What a huge relief to know that I will be starting the next leg of this journey to join you all on the losers bench! SAVE SOME ROOM FOR ME!!!
  14. Thank you so very much for your encouraging words!!! They mean the world to me. I actually spoke with my surgeon's office this morning and found out that I am approved. I will be having surgery the first week of July. Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  15. @@muhol88 You are definitely right it can be very frustrating but I'd go through it all again just hear that I have been approved. Stay the path and hang in there so that we all can make it to the losers bench together. I wanted to have surgery by my birthday next month but I have out of pocket expense that I have to pay before I can have the surgery done so I pushed it back to the first week in July.
  16. @@Brittneysue12345 You've got this in the bag! I can't wait for us to make it to the losers bench. I just scheduled my surgery for the first week of July. Stay steady on the path and let's rock this out!
  17. @@Brittneysue12345 Good morning! Yes I just found this morning that I GOT APPROVED!!!! I am feeling so many emotions right now I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Thank you so much for your prayer's. I will be praying for you as well. Please keep me posted on your progress.
  18. Thank you so very much for your words of encouragement Alex. I just got off the phone with my Surgeon's Office and was ready to give a long drawn out speech about thes letters that I received only to find out that I GOT APPROVED!!!!! My head is spinning right now. I got histerical for nothing. The coordinator said that it was for one code they usually send of for approval and they always get a denial for it. Crises averted, now I can breathe and prepare for the next leg of this journey. Than you all so very much for your love and support. I can't think of a better place that I'd rather be than here with you all.
  19. Thank you so much Jessica. The place where I am trying to have the surgery approved is actually a Blue Distinction Center. It is the reason that I chose it and is the only one closest to where I live. Hopefully I can have all of this straightened out with these letters next week. Thanks again for the tip. ???? 20. @@NavarreMom Thank you so much! I am praying for it to happen soon. It would be an awesome birthday present. I'm going to work closely with my surgical team so that we can get the ball rolling. I can't wait to make it to the losers bench.
  21. Thank you @@crazygoose and @@Tan4sho! This group hands down is the best and I am grateful for each and every one of you who have rallied around me to show your support. This journey for each of us has its ups and downs. I understand that right now I am in the down stage but I know that I won't stay there. This has indeed been a very long journey and I can't give up. It is my last hope at getting my body healthy and having at least one child before I am too up in age to have one. I had a dream where I pictured myself healthy and l saw myself as the skinny woman that I use to be holding a baby. I want that dream to become my reality more than ever. It is all that I think about constantly. I'll be 40 next month and I know that the clock is ticking so I refuse to throw in the towel and give up without a fight. I've wasted too much time being passive as it is. I now know that I am not the only one who has received this kind of letter and I am more than confidant that my surgical team will get this all sorted out. Our group us full of ROCKSTARS and again I thank each and every one of you! @@Tan4sho congratulations on your upcoming surgery. I am rooting for you all the way. @@crazygoose the same goes for you as well. I am rooting for you all the way! I'll see you when we make it to the losers bench!
  22. Thank you so much for this information Bohemian! Congratulations! I am estatic for you taking matters into your own hands and moving forward with your plans to live a healthier life. I will keep this in mind as a last resort. ????
  23. Thank you so much! I will take all of the help and blessings that I can get. I am praying that they get everything that is needed this time to make their final decision. You are definitely right we all should have a fighting chance at a healthy life especially when we've committed to making the necessary changes towards changing out of old habits and situations that put us in a unhealthy state to begin with. We are definitely more than just a case file number and I get that when you come across many files daily how hard it is to keep in mind that we are individuals reaching out for help. I will keep everyone posted on the outcome. Thank you again! ????
