  1. Problem is he says my liver was in beautiful shape and not in the way. He basically said he couldn't inflate me enough to get clearance to operate safely. Thanks for sharing!! Well I've been dieting on my own. He said he won't probably attempt the surgery till I lose at least another 100 pounds. At that point I am about 125 pounds away from the goal I set and wonder if I should just continue going at it forgoing the surgery. Or do I see another surgeon and get their opinion? Just don't know what to do at this point. Sal that is crazy! If everyone could lose 100lbs before surgery that surgeon would not be in business. Please seek a second opinion. My surgeon wants me to lose 30 &&I've been struggling for MONTHS to do so. It's not impossible for SOME, but why should u have to? Why would be the point of surgery if u could? Follow ur gut &&seek a second opinion. In the meanwhile, keep exercising &&eating right.
  2. @@chuck415 Lmaoo Chuck I feel the same! Stupid McDonalds all day breakfast lol. . . I've stopped myself at the door twice this wk already from going to feed my cravings. I havent given in in a while^_^
  3. Proud do not beat yourself up! Thats the worse thing you can do. I am going through the same struggle except my drug of choice is salty calorie laden chinese food:wacko: I binge, then feel just like you do. But we dont need to be punished as we are our own biggest and harshest critics. We need to be patient but stern withourselves. Try replacing your sweet goodies with sugar free goodies OR a Protein shake. There are some tasty ones. Be kind to yourself and your tummy, Im learning to do the same one hour at a time. Remember you arent alone
  4. Awesome, yeah I think its pretty satisfying. I either have a small bowl for lunch or for dinner. I do miss chewing though lol
  5. I'd like to know that myself. But in this case its a good thing they did
  6. I am so sorry about that Kristin! But thank God they spotted it. I pray everything is okay and it's just a cyst. I have one on my left ovary thats just hanging out not causing any problems but I get it checked as often as I get my pap checks done. Your journey hasnt ended, just a meer delay for a very good reason. Stay positive and dont worry too much.
  7. Hey Jangy, my nutritionist told me that cream soup was okay if it was low fat or fat free. Campbells has 98% fat free cream Soups. I just dilute mines with chicken broth and add herbs Hey Sharon, Im doing well thank you! Taking it one day at a time. Hope your doing okay
  8. Lol thank u Butterfly . . . I agree, pre op diets kinda suck. But u have to be just as disciplined as someone on the diets to lose weight is huh. . . Thanks for the encouragement!
  9. Yeah I read that after 3-4 days it isnt so bad but every day I been on it seems like the first few days lol. . . Im sure you will do fine on it. Let me be the first to tell you, if you're a person who values taste you're gonna hate it. I stick with low fat Campbells cream of chicken or broccoli.
  10. Right now I've been on the liquid diet for a couple wks now. I was struggling with the regular low fat no carbs diet and the team thought I would struggle a little less with liquid. They were wrong lol. . . I am allowed a couple of low fat no carb meals a week though. And congrats on losing 30lbs on your own! Thats awesome stuff and very proactive of you.
  11. I was told to lose 30, have about 16lbs to go. My surgeon has made it clear that he wont do my surgery until I'm down all 30
  12. Hey Jangy, 28 days will fly by just wait. I finished my 6 month requirement in August but still hadnt lost all my weight so here I am in month 8 going to the nutritionist every week for weigh in and it sucks.
  13. Trust me, it's totally up to the surgeon. My surgeon says, if you can lose weight on your own you wouldn't need me. That means no requirement to lose weight before surgery. My insurance had a 6-month supervised diet required, but no requirement to lose weight. I was on a full liquid diet the day before surgery. That's it, one day. Sharon I NEED your doctor! That's what I think, if I could lose the weight all on my own I wouldnt even need or want this surgery so bad. I kinda dont understand the logic of having ppl lose 30-50lbs when some ppl just cannot.
  14. Hi Debac, really?? Did you have to go on any kind of diet to lose a few lbs pre op? Miss sleeve the more i read i think its doctors choice? My ins called for 6 month supervised diet no requirement on weight loss. My doctor requires the 2 week liquid pre op for less complications in surgery. My husbands cousin did not have any diet what so ever. Her surgery is the rny on the 11 th. Totally didf then what my doctor andbinsurance requires. By the way my surgerybis DS. So may be a bit diff req than sleeve?? Good morning Jangy:) Thanks, support is all I need. My ins. like yours required 6mnth supervised diet but didnt require weight loss. That part was the surgeons requirement:( I've heard of very few ppl not having to diet ir lose any weight I guess cause they were on the lower end of the BMI scale. Lucky them! I am gonna take a trip to Walmart this wk to try Premier, I need something for on the go.

  16. Hi Dre, I feel your pain lol. . . You're doing great keeping those ready made shakes handy. I've been looking for a good tasting one myself so I wont be so tempted by all the unhealthy snacks.Which brand do you use? Thanks for the encouragement it was so needed. And yep we got this! I've been able to deal with the Premier protein pretty well. The chocolate is the best in my opinion (but it's not wonderful lol). I got mine at Walmart. Thanx Dre. . . I've just been using Unjury powder. Might have to make a trip to Walmart
  17. Hey Jangy can you lose like 20 for me pleaseeee??? Lol
  18. Thats a great stratedgy Sharon thanks! Think those notes need to be plastered all around my house for me to see. Definitely gonna get try it
  19. Hi Dre, I feel your pain lol. . . You're doing great keeping those ready made shakes handy. I've been looking for a good tasting one myself so I wont be so tempted by all the unhealthy snacks. Which brand do you use? Thanks for the encouragement it was so needed. And yep we got this!
  20. Thank u for the push! You know, that's EXACTLY what I think I was doing. Food goodbyes lol. You really need to have your own seminar Dub seriously. . . I'm empowered again, thanks to you and everyone else who's posted. I feel like I can keep going
  21. Thank You Focus! You are absolutely right. The fast food is poison and the sooner I get over the withdrawels and start replacing that with healthy cheat meals the better off I'll be. Didnt realize how much of a hold that crap had on me til I started this journey. Im looking forward to getting where you are, mentally and physically. A big CONGRATS to u for your 50lb lost! That is amazing, Im happy for u. Thanks for the kind words of wisdom:)
  22. Thank you for your post Dub:) Everything you said really resonated with me. You lost 50lbs and here grappling with the fact that I only have to lose 30. I feel a little silly lol. . . I think I may be making this harder on myself my not submitting completely to the process. Its just hard for me. Took a while for me to wrap my head around the fact that I gotta lose weight to get a weight loss surgery but I accepted it and understand better now. Now I just have to work harder to execute it. Thank you so much for sharing, congrats on everything:)
  23. Early afternoon is usually when I get the munchies too GoldenGirl. Vanilla protein in coffee is good idea rather then raiding the office goodies. I use Unjury chocolate splendor and make an ice coffee in the morning. Not the best tasting thing but its something different. Keep up the good work, stick with it. Thank you for sharing!
  24. Thanks for sharing Chuck! It's nice to know Im not alone and that so many of you guys can relate and share ur wins. Bathroom scale weigh in is a good win! Thats great, plus you bypassed Halloween candy lol, double win for the day lol. Thank you for your encouragement, good luck to you!
  25. Thank you Jangy for sharing! WOW you gave up smoking? Congrats on that! Thats an amazing feat in and of itself, well done! I dont know why but I've been wanting a cig some kind of bad cause of my nerves and havent smoked since my early 20s smh. Cant swap one bad habit for another I have to keep telling myself. If you can quit smoking you can definitey get through this, you have a will made of iron. I will definitely put your mind trick into practice. I have a young son, so I know what it's like when your grandbaby wants goodies, its tough. Hang in there with me and good luck on the next phase!
