You can do it, Marcee! Day 1 was bad, Day 2 was awful, but I feel like I really turned a corner on Day 3 and am adjusting to the protein shakes. Who knows how the rest of the week will go, but I keep telling myself I can do ANYTHING for a week.
This process is really difficult, but it's an investment in yourself: in your self-discipline, in your health, and in the success of your surgery. It really sucks right now but we'll probably be thrilled we did it in the long run (at least I hope so haha.)
I read that the liquid diet is most difficult until ketosis sets in and you lose the desire to eat normally. Carbs and sugar postpone ketosis and make the process more miserable, so cheating does you much more harm and causes more strife in the long run. That's what I tell myself when I drive by Dunkin every morning and that coffee calls out to me.
