  1. Thank you for the encouragement. 3 oz. bowls sounds like a great idea to keep me accountable for measuring my food. Thank you
  2. I am 10 weeks post op and have been feeling hungry often, very hungry. This is new to me because I was never really hungry. I have not been measuring out my food, I just eat until I'm full. I'm afraid I have been eating too much and have stretched out my stomach. Help!!!
  3. Thanks everyone! My dr. gave me lots of options for my my liquid diet but not for the soft food phase. I don't really even know what to eat. Luckily I haven't had any problems and my stomach tolerates whatever I eat very well so I don't get the warnings from my food.
  4. I am 3 weeks post op and am on the soft food diet. I know I should eat healthy but because I can't eat much, I feel like I can eat a couple bites of pasta and it is ok. I am making sure I get enough protein in and all my vitamins. I don't overeat, I'm just not making the best food choices. Did anyone else struggle with this? And is it a big deal since I'm not eating much and get all my protein?
  5. My first week post op was terrible! For some reason it all changed the second week. I felt much better. I was really struggling with getting all my protein so I decided to bulk up my protein shakes. My protein powder has 21 grams of protein, I used skim milk instead of water to give me 8 more grams, then added PB2 for an extra 5 grams of protein making my shake 34 grams of protein in 8 oz. if you can drink 2 of them a day, you hit your protein goal. It is easier for me to drink 16 oz of a protein shake all day than to force feed myself lower protein drinks all day. I hope this helps
