  2. i to take RX omeprazole. Maybe your right a new rx extra strength is what I need. and taking it earlier in the day. thanks
  3. My surgery was Sept. 29th. so i'm a few weeks post op. Just some advice my nuturionist let me in on. During the pre diet phase it helped for me to suck on hard sugar-free candy. Every time I wanted to reach for something to eat. I popped a jolly rancher, life saver, butterscotch or cinnamon candy in my mouth. Huge help
  4. I am 29 days post op. I found out I can not eat Bean Soup and Onion Rings. My husband makes the best Bean soup. I ate it and was up all night and the next entire day with heartburn. It was horrible. Found this out recently with onion rings. Too gassy. not worth the pain
  5. I am 29 days post op. I still have that too. I read that it could either be that you need more water or to pop a tums or something. I do do that and it seems to help. Like you i'm hoping this doesn't last forever.

  8. I am four weeks and one day post surgery. I am at a stall now. I swear my scale is broken. I lost 20 lbs in total including the pre surgery diet and my scale hasn't moved since. I was so relived to read your story. It still gives me hope that this wasn't a mistake. congratulations and keep up the good work.
  9. I'm just three weeks post op today. Doing pretty good. Can you tell me do you only eat a 1/2 cup at a time still. Or did your stomach stretch at all?

  12. Dear frustrated, I am 13 days post op. Like you I felt the same way, "what in the hell did I get myself into." Just hang in there. The gurgling/burping is still there for me after a bite or two, but not as intense. I can only assume it will eventually go away. I have now graduated to pureed foods and had mashed potatoes for the first time. Oh so good!!! My niece had the sleeve done a year ago and she was feeling depressed and doubted herself like us. Now she thinks it's the best thing she ever did for herself and would not change a thing. Keep sipping on your Water remember: 1. HYDRATION, 2. Protein, 3. VITAMINS! In that order. Take Care, Patty
