  1. Thanks for your stories, ladies. I wish everyone the best of luck. I dreamt of eating something not liquid (I'm still on stage 2). Woke up panicked then happy I hadn't gone there. Head hunger is a sneaky opponent. Here's to steady progress! Hip hip hooray!!????
  2. Back at home, happily recovering.????Everything I've been researching has come in really handy! I feel great but perhaps the pain meds are clouding my judgement. I'm surprised with how much I can move around. How is everyone doing?
  3. No, I work just behind the hospital in a sleep lab. Oh, that sounds like an interesting & intense job.
  4. Good to hear I'm not the only one! I have a little rolling suitcase going too. @@kinkymoo Do you work at the same hospital you're having your VSG at? @@Mom26 Your excitement is contagious & I like it! ????????????????

  9. I'm working on nervous energy right now. I look forward to your check-ins. Pre-op diet isn't completely liquid. I can have lean protein...and vegetables for dinner.
  10. I'm in for surgery on Monday, November 9th! I can't believe it!!!???? Had a couple of hiccups but I'm having VSG on Monday afternoon. Will check in afterwards. Good luck to all the other November sleevers. Let me know how things go for you!????

  14. Hey @@moltoguy I had a creatinine spike (kidney function issue) right before surgery. I've also been postponed. How did you fare?
  15. Thanks for posting @@Mom26 I will try the liquid diet. And continue to do the exercise. It felt like a reason to give up but I see it's a better decision to be victorious. No excuses!
  16. I think that it's the creatinine level that's the problem. Not protein in urine that I know of.
  17. I'm going to be rescheduled for surgery due to abnormal blood test results. It may be moved 2 weeks or more. Something about my kidney function. I'm so disappointed & discouraged. Has anyone had this happen to them?
  18. I appreciate it @@purz59 . This site is a literal lifesaver!
  19. Thanks @@glitter eyes & @. It's slowly sinking in. I'm happy to be out from the shadows...just in time for Halloween.????
  20. I'm a regular lurker on this site & I want to thank you all for helping me to get this far. Now I have an confirmed VSG surgery date - November 2nd - I feel official enough to do my first post. This date took a long time to come. I worked locally with a bariatric center that didn't pan out but I'm pleased that I have found my current bariatric team. All that's left is a meeting with the anesthesia team. When I heard my date, I was thinking, "Holy shit!" I'm quite glad that it's happening for real this time.????
