  1. Okay, same group of Drs then. I go the 26th to have lap band removed and bypass done. Doing liquid diet again, no fun! Do you go to the support groups at American? By the way I have Dr. Greenberg
  2. Beach gal - that would be great except I was told no more coffee for life due to it being a cause of stomach problems. Isn't it funny how Dr.s are different for same procedures?
  3. In the middle of prep diet and I am constantly cold, is that normal?
  4. If you stick to your preoperative diet, you won't have any problems with losing 15 pounds. Now to address your support system! Is this person going to be able to help you in future or sabatage you? Better have a conversation now!
  5. October 26th is my day too, can't wait! I have lost 16 pounds in 4 days on the prep diet. Struggling with it, but haven't cheated and wont! This is my second time, I had lap band in 2010 that was complete waste of money, time and pain.
  6. Not that I wish bad on anyone, I'm just happy to know there are others who are struggling too and understand. I have the will power of a stubborn donkey so i know I will make it. At end of day two and stomach does not like me much, but at least I am able to get some rest. Thank you all for sharing and don't stop!
  7. I thought I was fully prepared for this liquid diet, this being the second time around. First time was in 2010 with a lap band that failed. I remembered how miserable this was so I was gradually working towards it. I even thought I had found shakes I could tolerate and water additives that would make it easier. So here I am 10 hours into my first day and I feel like warmed up doggiie doo! The shakes taste horrible already, Im really tired and I took a nap and had gastric reflux (never had that before), to top it off I got the trots. So, all in all pretty much its going to be just as fun as it was the last go around. And I suppose because Im still pissed about lap band failure, it doesnt make it any easier. Just thought I would vent a bit. Im keeping a journal so Ican someday help someone else out or at least look at it and laugh.
  8. I was banded 2010, lost 20 pounds, had problems, my Dr. left and wasn't replaced. January thought I was having heart attack, my band slid up. Finally was sent to decent Bariatric Dr. start 2 week preop diet Monday and surgery for removal and roux en y revision.
