  1. I was so upset when I learned I would have to waite 8 weeks for a fill. Dr. Carter is conservative with the fills- a little at a time it seams. My surgery date was January 17th, 2008 and I've lost 93lbs in the last year. So I can't complain. The method to his madness is justified becuase he's doing what's best for your body and your long term success. I would be happy to talk to you more if you have questions. I have lots to share:biggrin:. doyleat1@sbcglobal.net Amanda
  2. Hi there! did you make it to goal weight? I have 20lbs to go and it's killing me. The weight is coming off soooooo slow. a pound or LESS a week. Sometimes I think I won't make it, so I'd love to hear from someone that did! How long did it take to drop the last 20?
  3. The first 3 months were the hardest for me too. But it's the beginning of a new file and new habits need to be developed. I continued (as with my pre op diet) to eat around 1200CALs a day and began working out like I have never before. It's been 6 months now and I've had 3 fills. I'm down 57 pounds, but the truth is I have worked for it. I have to eat healthy and work out. My best friend had the surgery a month before me and she hasn't been as successful because she doesn't work out and lots of processed foods go down quickly like chips. There is a great website called sparkpeople.com that can help you track calories and has tons of cool features and it's free. Check it out and don't get discouraged - this is the beginning of a new you!
  4. Dr. Carter is great! Becky was my "go to" person in his office and I am less than pleased with her. I feel stupid everytime I ask a question. I find myself looking to this website for answers.
  5. I was also banded by Dr. Carter on 1/15/08 and yes he is making me wait 3 months. I too am going CRAZY waiting. But I've worked so hard to get where I am now, I can't let another 4 weeks get me down. Heck I beck your fill is schelduled even sooner. good luck:)
  6. Please let me know if you know of a good fill Dr. in Arlington Texas. Thank you.
