  1. I hate to hear that you are struggling too but it's comforting to know that it's not just me! I'm scared of every food I try! And I keep wasting money on different kinds of zero calorie drinks & protein shakes to try and find something that I can tolerate enough to get in my fluids!
  2. Wow! I'm going to get some of that protein powder to try! Thank you so much for the advice & understanding. ????????????
  3. I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling too. The apple juice didn't work for me but maybe I'll try lemon in my water. We'll get thru this!!
  4. Thanks, guys! I'm glad I'm not alone. I really appreciate the feedback. I'm not really too concerned with the food but I'm scared to death of not getting enough fluids in & having to go back to the hospital!
  5. Hey neighbors!!! I'm from Northern NJ, Bergen Cty. You? I've been struggling a bit since the surgery. Having some problems but I hope they will get better in time. What about you guys?
  6. I went back to the hospital for dehydration once & I'm really trying to avoid it. I don't know why I have such trouble getting my fluids down. I used to chug my drinks, lol!!! Thank you for the input. It's helpful to just discuss it with people who understand. ????
  7. Hi everyone! I'm 18 days post-op and I'm having some problems. I can barely get 30oz of fluids in a day, I'm on soft foods & can't get 4oz down at a meal, I choke trying to swallow my regular medications & I constantly feel sick, nauseous, weak, throat feels almost like it's swollen or I have a sore throat & I have poops occasionally! (Sorry if that's TMI)! Talk to the doctor's office & they just keep saying it will pass. Any suggestions? Anyone feeling anything similar?
  8. Sorry....still trying to figure out this site! Thank you for asking. Surgery went well but honestly, the last 2 wks post-op have been a bit of a struggle! ????
  9. Hi Everyone, I haven't gone back & read thru all 44 pages yet but I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Danielle...I just turned 41.......single & being sleeved on 9/30.
  10. I hope all went well! Having mine on 9/30 in jersey too!
  11. Hi Everyone, I'm a single, 40 yr old in New Jersey. I'm having my surgery on 9/30. I'd love to have a buddy to go thru this while experience with....pre-surgery & post-surgery! I'm excited & super nervous!
  12. I got my date!!! September 30th!!!! I'm super excited but also pretty terrified! I'd love to find a "Sleeve Buddy" who's having their surgery around the same time so that we can kind of go thru the pre & post surgery together!
