  1. I have been banded since Dec 08 and I can honestly say that I can relate to everything you are saying! I can eat so much better standing! I dont get the urge to slime but when I start feeling full, I HAVE to stop.
  2. Not me, I am completely opposite. I can eat better if I have a glass of ice water before eating. I can have tea (which I have always been a tea drinker) but I cant have it until later in the day...I cant really have anything when I first get up though. It is crazy how we differ so much with the same operation. Weird.
  3. OMG that happened to me today. He poked around for 45 mins and then put 2cc in and couldnt get a return. I dont think any went in. It was under flouro but I think he missed. He said also my port has flipped. Can anyone tell me if this has happened to them? Also, I got my LB Dec 13, 2007 and this was my first attempt at a fill.:tt1:
  4. I used cortisone cream. Worked like a charm
  5. Mine was Dec 13, 2007!
  6. Boo Boo, your stats are awesome. Congrats. You look beautiful. How does it feel? It must be unbelievable. I can not wait. I love seeing where everyone is from.
  7. I am working right now in the ER...where is everyone from that is online right now?
  8. LOL YOU make a very good point.
  9. OH I am so sorry to hear that. I am such a newbie at this, I dont really know if anything will go wrong. Although I did have to go back to the OR for a 2nd time. The Dr took everything out and replaced it with a bigger band. I was originally done on Dec 13th and then went back in on the 15th. I could not stop vomiting and part of my stomach had kinked back up under the band in the back and I had no opening. I feel much better now and am healing.
  10. Wassa...what kind of unique problems? Please, explain and thanks.
  11. Thank you, your stats are awesome! Like I said I am at the beginning stages and can pertty much eat anything.
  12. My ins required a 6 mos supervised diet. I started the process July of 06 and was just done Dec 13th. One of the reasons it took me so long is that I changed Docs and locations half way thru the process. I was traveling an hour away and then I doc right at the hosp I work at started doing the surgery local. SO I SWITCHED and am so happy that I did. I started seeing him in Sept of this year and I am 3 weeks out today. Hope this helps. IT was a long process for me but others I have seen it be boom, boom, boom. Done.
  13. I am able to pretty much eat what I want at this point. I dont eat as much but I can have EVERYTHING with no problem! I guess this is what is kinda the "honeymoon" stage...before my first fill. So just wanted to say hello to all and I am so happy to be a part of your board. I cant wait to share.:clap2:
