  1. Thank you for the reply, I am very happy with the weight loss and also refuse to go back the way I was Its exciting that I am able to walk up a few flights off stairs without feeling like I'm dying. I saw my nephew the other day and he didn't recognize me right away. I didn't realize how much I've changed until then. My confidence level is up I just get scared sometimes and know I'd be smaller without the hanging skin. I also think it is causing some back pain.I'm making an appointment with my surgeon soon to discuss possible skin removal.????
  2. I am wondering if everyone is able to eat more...I guess I'm getting I little concerned. My HW 454 SW 419 and my last weigh in was 292, ever since then which was last week it seems I can eat more. And because of stress I have been wanting to eat more and my choices haven't been good. The hair loss has slowed down significantly but the skin is saggy to say the least, I'm thinking I have about 40 lbs of lose skin. Exercise is not helping, any suggestions?

  9. Hello everybody, I am still dealing with hair loss, but have started using lemongrass oil and coconut oil to see if it will strengthen my hair folicles. I had my surgery on 6/24, I am down to 315 lbs, HW 454, surgery weight 419. I am very happy with my results. So many things have changed. I am now working, I was unemployed for a long time due to the weight.I have run into people who I haven't seen in a while...they took a minute to realize who I was...I felt fantastic! I am thanking God everyday for this surgery, my doctors and for giving me the strength to do this.

  11. I'm also having major hair loss, I think I have to up my protein intake. I've also noticed mucus build up after eating. Still unable to eat more than a few bites unless it's soup. HW 454 SW 419 Weight as of 10/20 332. I'm happy with my results but worried about my hair, thank God it's thick.

  13. I am thankful for this forum it has helped a lot. Thank you for the reply.
  14. I think it's encouraging to see all these posts about the dramatic weight losses. Sometimes I get a little discouraged if I don't see the scale move but I know it's working, I went to see my future mother in law yesterday and she called me "slim". I had to laugh...she is so sweet. ????

  17. I try to eat as much protein as possible...eggs, beans, cheese, chicken, and tuna. I try to stay away from processed carbs and stick with complex carbs and protien. I have noticed I get sick if I eat bread. I am able to eat greek yogurt but don't to well on ice cream or milk.I haven't had carbonated beverages since well before the surgery. I haven't really "worked out", but I will park across the parking lot, walk real fast in the store, take the stairs and I quit asking someone else to get me something...lol. I am going to start working out though, I joined the gym finally. I need to tighten up.

  19. I was sleeved on June 24th I've lost 74 lbs that I know of since the sleeve, I stall a lot too. My doc said that will happen since I was so heavy to begin with. I eat a lot of chicken and greek yogurt. I use the plain yogurt since it has 20 to 23 grams of protein, I mix it with a protein powder and fresh fruit with a tbsp of honey. It's very good. I'll stall then lose very quickly within a couple of days.

  21. I was sleeved on June 24th, I lost 34 pounds pre-op and have lost 42 pounds since my surgery. I am 5' 11" highest weight last couple of years 454 lbs. Weight day of surgery was 419, as of yesterday August 5th 377. I haven't seen that for 15 years. I am very happy with the my results, my Dr. is awesome. I have been walking but mostly I haven't been so sedentary. Oh yeah I stalled on my 5th week then lost 5 lbs in 4 days.
