  1. Hi! I am a slow loser by your definition. I have been banded for 2 years and have lost 40 pounds. I have absolutely no regrets for having the surgery. There has been no diet or diet club that I have ever belonged to that I have lost 40 pounds! Nothing has worked for me like the lapband has. I have only had 3 fills. I just called for an appointment to get another one. I agree, "It's not a race! It's not a race!" Dorothy in Cohasset, MN
  2. How much did your doctors say you had to lose to have the TT?
  3. I got teary-eyed to see someone started a slow-losers club!! I have no doubt that I qualify! I have only lost about 30 pounds in one year. I am happy to have lost it, but I see and hear about people who have lost like 3 times that much in a year. It makes me feel sad and .... kind of a failure. I keep a picture of myself on my frig from about 1 month before my surgery. I can really see a difference. Anyway, thanks so darn much for starting this club.
  4. I am from Cohasset, too!! I was banded on 2-24-05. I don't regret it at all. Dr. Dan Margo was my surgeon. He is wonderful. What a truly nice guy! The staff there is awesome, too! But then I am a little biased. I used to work at the hospital and an LPN. I have many friends there. Because of some health problems, unrelated to the lapband, I have only had one fill. So, my weight loss has been slow. In about 3 weeks I will have my next fill. I have had no complications with the band. Hey, Aimeeoutdoors, I was a the last support group meeting, too. We were about straight across from each other! I just joined lapbandtalk after the last meeting when the lady sitting next you told us about this site. So this is my first post in here. It was a good meeting, wasn't it? Take care everyone!
