  1. I definitely felt better 6 months out. The big thing for me is rmembering to eat protein first then veggies then fruits. Protein for energy is key. After a year I still have a hard time with energy if I don't eat correctly but really, with the weight I have lost and how much better I feel overall it is a small price to pay. My entire life is different now, including how I eat. I always try and remember that the surgery just decreased the amount I can eat at a time. I still had to deal with my food issues. I hope things improve for you and that you are happy with where you are at.
  2. I am 11 weeks out today and still not feeling great. So you think it allGot better at the 6 month mark?? Looking for hope! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. I am just over a year post sleeve and just hit the 100 lbs lost mark. Now I would honestly say I would do it all over again but six months ago I would have said no. It is a tough, long recovery and takes a lot if strength but stick it out and the end results are so worth it.
  4. I had a gastric sleeve in Mexico in August 2015 and flew home 2 days later as many do. On September 1 I noticed some weird pain in my upper left chest. I was in the ER with a post op infection so mentioned it to the doctor. I spent 5 days in hospital with the diagnosis of multiple pulmonary embolism (blood clots) in my left lung. I was told it was from flying so soon after surgery without being on any anti clotting medication. Many don't have this problem but discuss with your doctor prior to surgery. I am still on blood thinning medication twice a day and should be finished it in another month. Overall I am so happy with my surgery. 65 lbs lost in 6 months and another 30 to go. Couldn't be more pleased. I still only eat about 4 oz at a time. I get severe abdominal pain if I eat any more. I can't drink with food or up to 2 hours after eating or the same pain happens but I am learning and eat little and often.
