  1. Hello everyone! This is my first time to these boards, as I have just recently decided to have lap band. I have not even started the approval process yet, but I work for an insurance company and know it is relatively painless. I am scared, though. I'm 23, and have not been admitted to the hospital since I was born. I am also saving for the $3000 I will need to pay my deductible/coinsurance, and that's not easy. Hopefully this is the right thing for me. I look forward to everyone's support through my progress. Have a great day!
