  1. Hi Lauren, I haven't been online here for quite a while-busy I guess, great to hear you are having your band tomorrow. I get mine Dec 23rd, we are only a day apart! I have bounced my weight around since I was about 20, every time I got into a new relationship, I gained, after going through this several times, I lost weight again, down to 184, married the man of my dreams, and gained. Over this last 13 years, tried Jenny, WW, etc..last June weighed 272, my all time high....it's been over a year now that I have been working to make this happen, and now it/s finally here. I did manage to loose 30 lbs since June, so I have a really good head start. Looking forward to having much more energy to spend on my 2 kids, less aches and pains, new clothes! I hope you have a smooth surgery and quick recovery. Take care, J

  4. I can't remember how many times I was denied in the last 6 months, then finally, they sent it to their review board and it was approved! I now have to complete an 8 week weight management, with success, and I see the surgeon this month. Hang in there-Last November, I approached this as well-I will throw my name in the hat and see what happens...played it out as the paperwork started to roll in...now all of a sudden, I am getting very close to the end of this process-begining of another!
  5. Thats great, I am so happy for you. Now there are more questions than ever. So many people go thru this and have success. I am sure we will each find our own way. It has been months since I started this process. I was approved for surgery from my insurance co, finally, and now it's just starting to sink in. I still have to see the surgeon 1st though and get his approval....then testing etc. The nurse said my surgery could be early to mid November.
  6. I am so glad to have found this website! I am just getting started in the whole process.
